Roberto's Taco Shop — Restaurant in San Diego

I wish to speak to the real owner please. My family have been loyal customers of the 2744 El Cajon Blvd location. Tonight I stopped by to get something for my wife & I, we have been sick & wanted something fast. I pulled up to the speaker and could not hear to well as my ears are pretty plugged up, I said hello, hello hello. The older short lady that is always there at night screamed back HELLO so loud my wife could hear her on my cell phone and it startled us both. When I got to the window she started talking down to me as if I was a child telling me that she had to walk over to answer the speaker when I said hello more than once telling me I was ANNOYING!!! She embarrassed me so much, I tried to tell her that I was sick and could barley hear, but she did not care she just kept humiliating me. I called back to the store and asked for the owners phone number and she told me she was the owner? She is rude on a regular basis but we put up with it because the food is great. I am a Customer Service Manager for a major supermarket chain here in San Diego and I do not how this has been allowed to go on for so long. There are a very polite young lady and man that always make my day we come threw in the day time, I am sure that they could do a much better job and make it a joy to visit. When I called she did not want to listen at all, just kept telling me that I was wrong and how she was right, how she did not like to walk back and forth to the speaker??? Please handle the people that work...

If I could give this place a zero I would. First of all, the service was horrific! This place was recommended by a person at a hotel that we were staying at in the Gaslamp. We wanted some authentic Mexican food. We drove far for this place and we were greeted with a man who told us to hold to order our food. After waiting almost 5 to 7 minutes, a woman comes to the window and takes our order. She did not get our order correct the first time and I tried to correct her. She never responded. I went to the window to to get the order right. We wanted carne asada fries with sour cream on the side because my husband does not like sour cream. She responded "we already made your fries". I again tried to correct her and with an attitude she had the person remake the fries. I asked for sour cream on the side which she did not hear because she had a nasty attitude and did not listen. When she handed the bag to me she was missing some items in my bag and there was no sour cream. When I asked for the sour cream on the side again, she told me that I asked for no sour cream. I told her that I asked for it on the side as I had said before, but she did not listen. She grudgingly gave us the sour cream again with a terrible attitude! This place is not customer service oriented and the food was mediocre. It certainly was not worth the drive and headache! I will never go back to this place or recommend it to anyone else. I'm very disappointed by the overall food quality at this point. I keep going thinking it's going to get better like the first couple of times I've gone, but the only quality food at this point is their carne asada. I love my carne asada fries, but it becomes very disappointing when the fries are underdone, which cause them to be very oily and mushy fries. This is the third time it's happened, and I don't see myself going here anymore. I even ask for the fries well done in order to mitigate this issue, but they aren't listening, and it's getting frustrating. I don't want to be wasting money and food, nor do I want to have to drive all the way back to get my order corrected. Once again, in my opinion, the carne asada is really good, and some other options as well, but it's very unfortunate that they keep messing up my orders.
