Leaving my original review because this place use to be great. I originally gave Sushi Factory an enthusiastic 5 stars from the times we’ve eaten there in the past. We live far away and don’t visit often but we were so disappointed in the food and service this time. We will never return. The fish was not high quality and didn’t taste good. The salmon looked really bad. We ended up leaving 2 rolls and 6 salmon nigiri on the table (along with my daughter’s ramen because she was worried to eat it.) None of these things were edible. Possibly the worst sushi we’ve ever had. My daughter wouldn’t eat even her ramen because she became anxious over the quality of the sushi and worries about getting sick. Their solution to the poor quality food was to remove one roll. We paid over $80 to leave most of our food on the table. Leaving 2 stars because the spicy garlic edamame was good and my daughter ate the seaweed salad even though it was warm. We did eat a few pieces of yellowtail and tuna nigiri which were not excellent but were far more edible than the salmon and the rolls. The service was not good, although the server was nice. We didn’t get chopsticks or soy sauce trays until after food was served and we asked for them. Twice for the chopsticks actually. One final thing, they didn’t have anything except Splenda for the tea. No real sugar or non-artificial option for sweetener at all. This wouldn’t be a deal breaker on its own but it is worth mentioning. Sad to say, things at this establishment seem to have gone way down hill. We will not return. ************************* Old review : Hot sake included in the All You Can Eat? I’m down. Practically the only place in San Diego for all you can eat sushi now thanks to Covid, we had dine in seating in a clean and well spaced restaurant. We had lots of good sushi, my favorites being the French Kiss roll and the Snow Mountain roll. We ate a ton of fish and it was all fresh and delicious. Topped it off with green tea ice cream. Oh, and! The pickled ginger was super thick, very yummy! The sake was hot and the beer was cold and we will be back!

I really am not one to write bad reviews unless it's for DENNYS but I just am a bit concerned. I had a group of 4 of us come to the restaurant today and two got the AYCE and myself and another ordered individual items. By the end of our dinner we all didn't feel great but decided to head home. After a lot of stomach issues it turns out 3 out of 4 of our party has food poisoning 🥲. Please see the pros and cons list below If you are debating Pros of our visit: - Chicken Katsu was good - Sushi wasn't terrible. OK. It was okay. - sticky rice was very nice - Miso so tasted good (but was a little thicker than you usually find) - the rolls are pretty big that you get - the staff were kind Cons of our visit: - 3 of 4 members of my dinner group have food poisoning now - the oysters were served at a room temperature/a little more than that. Not chilled at all. (May have led to food poisoning) - if the rolls say they have sliced onions it is LOADED with some raw white onion over your entire roll - the bathroom was a bit dirty but it could've been from someone else right before me. I don't know. - service was slow but they seemed very understaffed so I completely understand that - Some smaller plates were missed but as we started not feeling good, that wasn't our priority lol My overall takeaway is probably just not try the oysters. We all got pretty sick but other things too though.I really feel like the food here may not being properly stowed. Thanks for reading 😊

Friends wanted to go to an all you can eat sushi place. We looked up some spots and found this place. We got there at 6pm and almost no one was in the place. They were easily able to seat us for 6. Once sat we were brought menus and water. And was told everything we needed to know about all you can eat sushi. All you can eat sushi is $36 a person and everyone in your party has to agree on getting all you can eat. It was happy hour to so we also got cheap drinks. They had so many sushi rolls to chose from, good selection of nigiri, hand rolls and various sides. There is limits on how much you can order per person per round, and if you have left over sushi they charge you per roll of that sushi. So make sure you order what you're going to eat. The Sushi was not the highest quality, but it was good for being all you can eat. A lot better than a buffet. The server was so accommodating and on top of everything. Parking was easy to come by even tho it would look like there isn't. They have a small parking lot in the back. But there was plenty of street parking as well. I would recommend this place if you just want a ton of sushi non stop.

The food was so good, I forgot to take pictures. I'm a sushi lover and this was the BEST yellow tail I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The whole table ordered the all you can eat for $27 ($14, for children under 10). Only complaint was the server kept forgetting things and rarely checked on us...the food however was made and brought out fairly quickly (we visited on a Tuesday night).

We ordered: Gyoza (fried and tasty) Tempera shrimp ( 2 small pieces per order and they are FABULOUS) Tempura calamari (breaded not tempura but yummy) Tempura veggies (Japanese sweet potato, yam, zucchini, green beans, and eggplant, their tempura is great) Takoyaki (nope) Yellowtail carpacio (super yummy) Salmon carpacio (so good) Raw oysters ( a semi large briny variety, very fresh and clean, but not my favorite kind of oyster)

Nigiri, was all delicious and a VERY generous ratio of fish to rice. We tried the following: Yellowtail (Phenomenal) Garlic Tuna (delicious) Tuna (yummy) Seared tuna (good, but not my cup of tea) Amaebi (the best I've had) Giant scallop (great texture, but while it was fresh it was still a little fishy, first time I've had it served this way, I prefer a BBQ hotate)

Rolls, they were all large and good, my only complaints would be they need more crunch like cucumber, they're a little light on the sauces and I wish they had a roll it two with fruit like mango or pineapple. We ordered:

Poke roll (delicious, but spicy) Crunch roll (good, but a touch bland) Tiger roll (good) Snow Pak (didn't try but I was told it was yummy) And a deep fried roll (didn't try but I was told it was yummy)

This is the best AYCE sushi restaurant I've ever eaten at. The amazing nigiri and variety of hot and cold apps really make this place stand out. I can't...

By far the worst sushi place I've ever eaten from. I'm not the type to leave a bad review unless it's REALLY bad.

My boyfriend and I just ordered this place off of Doordash. Prices seemed fair, rolls sounded good. We got the spicy garlic edamame, dynamite roll, macho roll, Spanish roll.

I got my package and when I went to untie it, I ended up jabbing myself so hard with the staple that was on the receipt that I ended up bleeding. Who staples a receipt to the handle of the bag so that when it's tied you can't see the staple until you are pulling it apart in the center? Staple the very end of the handle so it's visible or the lower part of the bag instead. I don't blame our delivery guy on this, that's probably just how they handed it to him.

So we tried our sushi and it was such a huge disappointment. I've gone to sushi restaurants that have half the menu size and are half the price and even those places are better than this one. It's hard to mess up a roll that has shrimp tempura and crab, those are solid choices. But this roll (macho roll) was so bad. It had no flavor except for the flakes that tasted like sawdust. The Spanish roll wasn't much better, there 2 two of the tiniest lemon slices on only a couple of the pieces and they each had a seed still stuck on them. The dynamite roll was almost good but I really think it was only because it was drenched in cheese. The edamame was a weird texture and not spicy, even that lacked flavor too.

Overall terrible experience. I honestly don't get how you can mess up sushi THIS bad. I've never eaten from a sushi restaurant that was so bad I couldn't finish my roll, not even the mediocre places. This will...
