Decided to give this place a try while in the area & wasn't disappointed. The full order of Carne Asada fries was tbh, hefty & good temp, look. I actually made it into 2 meals, vs the typical ones from some other shops that end up being 1. Had plenty of toppings, meat & for a similar price point if not cheaper than some other's, worth it! The place was blasting music when I went to pick up my order. Had a dive bar vibe on that front, but it was 8:30-9pm about & they sell beer. The lady at the counter was quiet but nice, didn't get a bad feeling from her. The red & green sauces I must admit were pretty lackluster & the salsa bar wasn't open, but not a deal breaker. What was really odd, was the bigger Styrofoam packaging for the "full" order. They used the trisected ones you get with a combo plate with rice/beans/entree. Stabbing at the mass of food to hit a ridge, at first had me thinking something harder than the ordered food had fallen into the meal lol, perhaps they ran out of the normal flat bottom ones? Unlike quite a few places that charge a non-cash service fee I've encountered, they charge a 3+% fee based on total amount, versus a flat fee. This place is one of my favorite’s to go to for lunch. Their half order carne asada fries is definitely a filler. Or their Tony’s mix burrito almost like a surf and turf .. has chicken, asada, rice , salsa , shrimp, cheese and comes with a drink. This doesn’t disappoint. Or there taco Tuesday! If you are driving from the airport on a Sunday night to this area your options are very limited. Thankfully this place is open when the area is basically a ghost town. Salsa bar has plenty options from mild to hot. You can choose how you want your 1-pound veggie burrito by picking 4 ingredients (such as potatoes, cheese, egg, mushrooms, beans, rice etc). Taste was OK but it was very oily. I don't know if it's because how they cooked some of the ingredients but my plate had a pool of oil from the drippings.
