A few years back this cafe was a very laid back enjoyable cafe to relax and hang out, However, more recently although I live close most of the friendly staff has left and moved on, leaving the present manager Erin, a racist , uptight, homophobe, and the couple few other staff there are quite the same.. And this is definitely a place to avoid. Even the food quality isn’t nearly that good as before. The only person left who works here is Saul, and I’ve always immensely liked him and he’s always been extremely kind, and nice to me. But even though I do live very close to this cafe I Will not give them my business because like I have mentioned previously the manager Erin has always been very rude and I feel racist (I’m white/German/Jewish) to me which obviously is not my problem. He’s Mexican!!. And maybe self-hating and projecting.. I think a lot of people don’t like him around here, and would like him to...
Read moreCozy corner in a little side neighborhood in San Francisco. Got this cafe out of a breakfast suggestion by Google and wasn't at all disappointed. The seating is average (bland tables and chairs), but cozy non-the-less. The food is great however. I got an avocado toast with an egg on top for 6$ which honestly is great value for money when you look at the quality: fresh avocados (almost a quarter avocado or a little more!) on crispy toast with two sided cooked egg with yolk still gooey liquid from the inside. Personally it tasted amazing, but i did expect a little better on portions as the toast was small even though very generous with avocado (VERY). My dad had a caffe-latte small which was honestly larger than what we expected. It tasted great as he stated and for ~ 2.50$ is a bargain. All in all very pleasent experience and should give 4.5 if i could (only downside is you can't expect to be full with one...

That's really all you need to have people lining up day after day, and Caffe Centro gets it. I went with the ham and swiss, and it was great. The quality of the meat, cheese, bread, vegetables and mustard were all very high, and the sandwich was put together with care and attention. I got a bag of Kettle Chips and a glass of water, and the total came to a bit over $9 with tax. This is the kind of place where you could eat several times per week, and I plan to be back to try more of their...
