Pretty disappointed to write this review as this bar has been mine and my boyfriend’s favorite to watch the games at. We came to watch the Giants game and got there 20 min before the game started. Towards the end of the game we were asked to leave and would not be served anymore drinks. We were confused because we had ordered food and spread 3 shots and 1 drink over the course of almost 3 hours. My boyfriend was literally sober because we had been there for a while and also ordered food. Female bartender also banged down the bathroom door twice when I went to the restroom. I was in there less than 3 min and someone was brutally beating the door in. Exited the restroom and ask the man sitting at the table in front of the door if he had done that. He said no it was the female bartender (the one who made us leave). She also wasn’t even the one serving us. Our bartender who usually is there and is a reason we come back to this place (glasses and beard) was taking care of us. My boyfriend noticed throw up in the other bathroom and thought maybe they thought that had been us? Either way the woman was rude and we weren’t even drunk. I’ve been in there where guys are literally throwing down and fighting and they are still being served drinks. Unfortunate, but we...

If you're looking for a place to grab a drink and catch the game before heading to Oracle Park or Chase Center, Local Tap is definitely worth a visit. This cozy bar is conveniently located within walking distance of both stadiums, making it the perfect spot to kill some time before the game.

The atmosphere at Local Tap is casual and welcoming, with a friendly staff and plenty of TVs showing any of the current sports action. Whether you're a die-hard fan or just looking for a place to relax and unwind, Local Tap has you covered.

As for the drinks, Local Tap has an excellent selection of beers on tap, as well as a variety of cocktails and wines. The food menu is also quite impressive, with plenty of tasty options to choose from. Whether you're in the mood for some classic bar fare like wings and nachos, or something a bit more substantial like a burger or sandwich, you won't be disappointed.

Overall, I highly recommend Local Tap for anyone looking for a fun, laid-back spot to catch the game and enjoy some good food and drinks. With its prime location, great atmosphere, and tasty menu offerings, it's definitely one of my go-to spots before heading to Oracle Park or...

Pros: this is an awesome dive bar with friendly enough service.

Cons: deceptive pricing practices.

Experience: I was pretty excited to find a place with decent happy hour pricing (ex: cheese curds for $7 and the fried combo platter for $13). I wasn't provided a menu, so I showed the sole bartender what I wanted on the site.

The food came and was the wrong order (cheese curds and the house made hummus plate). Mistakes happen, so no worries.

Unfortunately, when the bill came, I was charged $15 for the cheese curds and $20 for the fried combo platter. Additionally, there was an additional SF mandate of 5%. (Shoutout to https://www.seefees.ca/ for bringing transparency here to these deceptive restaurant pricing practices).

I asked the server (who just hopped on shift) why the pricing was so high, and she confirmed that the happy hour time was right, but that the pricing on the website was wrong. Then she told me she would tell the owner, and left.

What should've been an easy afternoon experience was now made a little bitter by these deceptive pricing practices. I had high hopes for this place as my neighborhood hangout spot, but...

I LOVE LOCAL TAP. That’s the only way I can think to describe how GREAT this place is. Pauly (owner) is a great guy and make you feel welcomed every time you come. Pete is a great bartender and always has hilarious stories to tell. Their food is restaurant quality with bar prices, I honestly don’t think there’s any other place in SF to get quality cheese curds, but they are known for their chicken fingers and fries. If you want to go somewhere that makes you feel like family, I highly recommend Local Tap

Always a great experience at Local Tap. So many good local beers on tap, the food is restaurant quality and the service is always friendly and attentive. I had the local rock cod tacos and it was delicious. Usually the owner is around but tonight he wasn’t there and even so the food, service and experience was perfect, Local Tap is very well operated.
