Our family was invited to Epic by friends that were already attending, about 7 years ago. We had been waiting, as seeking out a new church seemed daunting when we had been members of our previous church for so long. As a young family, we were keen to find a church that not only fed the adults, but also had a strong childrenâs program in place as we have two daughters (who were 6 & 1 at the time).
On entering Epic, we were so warmly greeted, encouraged to sign up for a small group, and even left with gifts! We signed up for a family small group, and it was so warm and inviting - one of the youth in the church attended to provide babysitting during the meetings, there was food and earnest discussion about the weekly sermon. We found ourselves suddenly at home in this new church in downtown - which was such a surprise to us! We thought for sure we would need to attend a church outside of the city in order to find something that had a growing kids program. Weâve come to see Epicâs kids program (babies to 5th grade) grow to a robust and active students program (6th to 12th grade) and it has been such a joy to see our daughter engage in their own spiritual journeys. Our daughters are now 14 and 8 and they love Epic Kids and Epic Students.
Besides the kids programs, my husband and I have both grown so much with Epic. Weâve felt challenged by the messages, supported by the community when we experienced hardships, and have both been giving of our time and talents to walk alongside Epic as the church grows and serves San Francisco and supports churches and programs around the world.
We absolutely love Epic and canât...

We started googling and searching, and to our surprise EPIC Church. We attend EPIC Church International, in NJ, so we were both excited to visit. (NOTE: There is no affiliation/ association). So, we got there on time, we're greeted warmly and we're offered coffee âïž and tea đ”. And as service began, we made our way into the sanctuary, as the Worship Team ushered the congregation into presence of God. There was a spirit of liberty and the ground of our hearts were being prepared to meet God. Then the greeter came and welcomed everyone. Pastor Joe Pilgreen came and delivered a sermon that is still challenging my heart with a call for introspection. After service, Pastor Joe was in the lobby greeting the visitors. We were at home, the warmth, the diversity, and the fellowship was organic and authentic. Truly an...
