They have DECAF taro milk tea! This place has great boba drinks and snacks AND has reusable clear hard plastic boba straws that you can buy for $1 each or get for free when you buy two or more drinks. The best thing about the straws (after keeping wildlife safe and not having to suck on a paper straw) is that, because they are clear, you can look down into the straw to surgically target every last boba, jelly, and popping pearl hidden among any remaining ice. It's actually fun activity that I highly recommend.
I got the July 4th specialty drink which was a caffeine free strawberry milk drink made with real strawberry puree and strawberry popping pearls. I added lychee jellies to it and asked for 50% sweetness. Aside from being highly Instagrammable, this drink is super yummy and kids would love it. The puree gives it a fresh real strawberry taste and the popping pearls are super fun and tasty too.
My partner got the mango star specially drink at 25% sweetness. The mango jellies inside were star shaped and super cute. I don't know if they made this one correctly, because it had a really strong floral note to it that I thought tasted like gardenia. My partner and I like floral flavors so we looked this one, but if you were expecting classic mango, you would be...
Read moreMy son had the mango smoothie with added bubbles. Good taste, but upwards of $12. I had the black milk tea, but had to add the bubbles. I had expected the bubbles to come with the tea drinks - not be a 50 cent add on for a measly scoop. Lukewarm and not a very strong tea flavor. Came out to $6. This is way too pricey for what you get. Granted they are in a high rent district, but let's be real. The bubbles, however, were good - not too mushy or too firm. So many good bubble tea options out there for less than half the price. And not a very pleasant environment - kind of sterile white decor with one tv screen playing ???. To be fair, did not try other options like frozen yoghurt or musubi. Those might be worth trying. But not going back for...
Read moreQuick and tasty bubble tea. A little on the pricey side for the bubble tea but there is a wide selection of flavors. They also serve snacks, including self-serve frozen yogurt - I haven't had these personally so can't rate them. They've redecorated some since this place was called Rockit Swirl. There are some Japanese capsule vending machines, a bunch of tables, and a small selection of board games to play. They are definitely angling to be a teen hangout spot in the neighborhood, but it's also a good spot for families with kids to...
