Tekka House — Restaurant in San Francisco

My wife and I have been coming here for about a year now. Service is always absolutely top-notch. The atmosphere of the restaurant is calm and inviting. The food… incredible. The quality of ingredients they use here is on par with the some of the so called “highest rated” sushi we’ve had in SF. It’s not the absolute cheapest sushi you can find here, but for the quality of what you get to the price-point. Tekka House can’t be beat. Just take a look at these two separate 12pc Sashimi plates I got over the past few months. Very high quality, and amazingly excellent selection such as Chu-toro and O-toro (absolutely melt in your mouth delicious). I love this place so much. I think I reviewed it a few years ago but here's an updated review. I used to live in Glen Park and Tekka House became my go to neighborhood sushi joint. The freshness of the fish is incredible and the prices have always been super reasonable, especially considering the quality you get! Andrew is a wonderful chef and makes every piece of sushi like an artisan. I love everything there but my go to was always a saba gari roll - delicious. Andrew also makes a mean glazed tamago handroll for dessert, one of the most delicious handrolls I've ever had. Delightful neighborhood restaurant, especially for sushi!

We walked in on a Friday night and didn't have to wait for a table. Our server was very polite and and offered great suggestions. We loved the agedashi tofu, but the sushi was exceptional. We mostly ordered nigiri with a yellowtail roll and a spicy specialty roll, but all of the fish was just fantastic and very fresh.
