Don’t open your shop if you don’t even have a full menu to serve… I arrived here around 8am, and the only options were shrimp dumplings and shiu mai (pork). I asked if I can order from the menu, and they said yes.
I ordered other items, then she tells me it’s a 30-45 min wait for them to cook it. I was like 😂 (no thank youuuu).
So I ordered just 6 shrimp dumplings and 3 shiu mai for $11.45ish. Then she tells me i have to order minimum $25 for credit card (i had no cash…)
So I ordered double 💀 giving me 12 shrimp dumplings and 6 sui mai (LOL). And this is again because NOTHING else was cooked and prepared, and they were open hahah.
So I still didn’t reach $25 minimum (i was at like $23…) So I ordered Pork Buns (3 of them minimum for $5.95). My total came out to be $30 😂😂😂
Then I asked for chopsticks… they said we don’t have chopsticks, we have forks. An Asian restaurant with no chop sticks 🫠
I lost it at this point. I sat down to eat the food, thinking… it must be at least somewhat delicious… right?

The Red Bean Roll (not pictured) was yummy. The white bread part was fluffy and a light sweet flavor and the red bean paste inside was smooth.
The Fresh Taro Dumpling is dim sum not offered in Hawaii so I wanted to try it out. I love the concept and the chopped up taro pieces were soft, but the sauce didn’t have much flavor to make it outstanding.
The Pineapple Custard Bun was delicious! The bread was soft. I enjoyed the thick, crispy and flakey topping and creamy custard on the inside. The pineapple buns I normally eat have a thinner topping so this was a nice change.
Worth a try if you’re in the neighborhood and looking for something...
Read moreI enjoy going to this place whenever I'm around the Balboa Theater area for a quick and delicious bite to eat! We also took some of the foods home for dinner and they still tasted good after reheating them in our bamboo steamer. We had them with the house chili oil that they sell in jars. They have all the dim sum favorites and dumplings and buns that are frozen too. I like the chiu chow dumplings, which you don't see in a lot of places. The interior seating is like many other "bakery" dim sum places which have seats for convenience, but are nothing fancy. These kinds of places are really meant for take or quick eat at the tables. I'm happy to contribute to this business that continues to offer more things, such as the frozen foods and packaged condiments. The staff are friendly...
