Don Chuy's is a little corner Mexican neighborhood store that also serves fast food. I was told they had some good burritos so we stopped by to grab a bite to eat, the food looked delicious, but when I went to go pay for my food the owner of the was very rude. I gave him my card to pay for the food I ordered, but the transaction did not go through & I was rudely accused of not having money in my account. I told him that their must have been a glitch in his system & if he could process it again, he said why you have no money. I was very upset at this point because I have never been treated this way in my life. Standing off to the side were two men & by their side on the floor were cans of beer, I find it unprofessional to run a business while you entertain your friends & consume alcoholic beverages. Read moreFor 30 years I have been coming to this establishment I think it has switched ownership maybe 3 or 4 times but the food has always been consistent but I would say the last year or so the carnitas have changed they still taste great but whoever is cooking them is way over cooking them to to point of if you don’t specifically ask for soft carnitas it’s like chewing on rocks .Ok now let’s address the most sacred sin of all they have cut back on the size of the burritos .they should change the name from Don Chuy’s to Honey I shrunk the Burritos 😁 I always feel if you have to never cut back on your product if you have to raise the price a lil bit so in closing I’m sad to say my 30 year luv affair with the burritos there is over .I have a crush on Faralito on mission now where the super burrito is still super fat...

At first glance, this is just a small local Mexican market, that has a small selection of everything you might need here and there, with very friendly staff !
But then one day you decide to try the burrito and it’s life changing, one of the BEST burritos I have tried, and my scale can attest to how many I have tried.
The burrito is huge, delicious, and spicy if you like it like that, also very fresh ingredients.
I suggest you grab a couple of burritos, walk up to McLaren park, find a spot with a nice view and devour them...
