Frankie's Crab Stand — Restaurant in San Francisco

Today 10/22/2022 we came to restaurant with over guest from canada. we were all together 12 people and some of we discuse about food to place order in restaurant and other side our lady went to use restroom and this guy the one in picture he ask lady to stop using restroom if u guy hav no bill recipet and then we try to tell him b nicely we are going to order on other side plz let lady use restroom but this guy was totaly unrespectfull with us and very rude in front of other people he didt alow us to use restroom and then we trying to ask him to need to talk with manager but there was more emplyer they keep argue with us as we request everyone why u guys treat us like this as u can check ur camera before use restroom we setup chair and table out side for 12 people and we try to convince this guy many time but he was totaly rude and u respelctfully with us asume like he was races ..i m not just going to give bad review here i will take strickly action against this employe as i try to called manager and i leave. The worst experience I have every encountered, having lived in the Bay Area, most of my life. I walked in and needed to use the restroom, while I waited for my wife to arrive. The cooks, behind the counter, waived me over to order. I gestered that I needed to use the restroom, which was locked. They pointed to someone who stated I needed to order something in order to use the restroom. I was dumbfounded. I assumed they were joking. I said, "are you serious?" The worst part, was we had never dined there. We normally dine at the Franciscan, whose building they occupy on the bottom floor. I simply said, never mind and walked a few feet to the entrance of the Franciscan, where I was greeted by a hostess, who happened to be closing the door, since is was a bit chlly. I asked her where the restroom was located, and she said, follow me I wll show you. That is how you greet a customer, whether or not they have "committed" to ordering from you. This is a must stop for any fresh fish lover. I never miss a chance to dine here every time I'm in town for the last 7 years.

I always get the same thing: Fishwich sandwich and garlic fries. Yes, I said garlic fries.

The sandwich (famous for a reason) is a large buttermilk fried piece of fresh fish with a light cole slaw (think olive oil instead of mayo) on a fresh hoogie roll. The fish is crispy, not soggy or heavy.

The garlic fries...where do i start?! Large portion of crispy fries tossed in garlic and herbs then topped with shredded cheese. Perfection and a wondetful compliment to the Fishwich.

The sandwich is quite large and I recommend sharing it and the fries with a friend. There's inside and outside seating with views of the water or the wharf. On a busy day, you might wait 10-15 minutes for your order, but that's a small price to pay for such a delicious meal. Friendly staff and chefs.
