I wanted to love this place because it looked fun for a quick 20-30 minutes of our time. I have to agree with the comments of ZERO control of the flow or of how to monitor guests coming in and out of the “museum”. When I first arrived, there were 2 ladies trying to manage the line outside at first I had no idea they were supervisors/managers/owners???, because they had no identification that they actually worked at the museum. The European brunette managing the door was polite and tried monitoring the queue outside the door. As the people inside who paid waited for their turn to enter the first exhibit, Brunette held the people outside from entering until the group in front was able to walk to the first mural. Once those guests walked in, she told me I could go in next. The cashier waiting inside asked to please wait my turn clearly there was NO ONE IN FRONT OF ME...however, he kept saying for me to wait. I stepped back and was completely confused because the brunette at the door said to go in ~ keeping in mind there was still a line out the door. So here I am for a good 3-5 minutes just standing there waiting for someone to tell me if I could approach the CASHIER to SHOW my ticket or not. At that point, I nearly just wanted to leave because I felt as if the employees were pointing at me like I was being an impatient customer. Unbelievable customer service. Never again, don’t waste your money on this cheesy museum. Spend it on a sundae at Ghirardelli Square or something.
*The only person who seemed to try to diffuse any part of this situation was a young Asian guy, who probably shouldn’t have said to me “I know sometimes I get impatient waiting for things” as if I was rushing through the doors ~ but he did apologize for the confusion.
I walked in and saw all the murals and realized, it was just a waste of time filled with people wanting to...
Read more24th July 21: I happen to visit the museum again. As promised last time after my first review I actually had offer from owners to visit the museum free for two for my next visit. However I decided not to use the offer but instead I paid for two tickets.
Noticed the place may need to look at some scientific study and rearrangement of lighting. The tube lights above the 3D paintings reflect light horizontally 3-4 feet from top of the painting. That clearly appears on the photos taken in any cameras. Thus making it little below quality for a 3D image. If the museum hires some lighting engineers this flaw could be corrected.
I still say the museum is over priced. In last 3 years since my first visit they haven't thought of putting any new paintings. Not a single penny seems to have been invested in upgrading the museum. Not sure how long they would continue to earn money on this one time investments. They may think of using some of wonders from other part of the world like Eifle tower, Niagara, tower of Pisa, Qutab Minar, Egypt pyramids, Tennis players or baseball players in the 3D paintings etc.
First review 2nd Jan 2020: This place is overpriced and no help inside if needed for guidance on taking photos. They promise a lot of help volunteers before you buy tickets but once you are in, you are on your own. Preference goes to those who buy VIP but there were not enough volunteers. std ticket customers got ignored on the particular day (1st Jan 2020).
Updated Review : 6th Jan 2020: I am thankful that the 3D management took the review seriously and positively. Accepted their fault of under-staffing causing drop in quality of service provided on that particular day. They were nice enough to provide a reasonable resolution and counteroffer. Hope the place would be appropriately...
Read moreAfter charging us full price for admission, despite the fact there were $5/person discount coupons right outside the entrance, the cashier told us "too late" when we discovered the coupons less than 5 minutes after paying. The cashier should have alerted us to the coupons right outside the door that were available to anyone, or they should have automatically applied the discount upon checkout. A horrible start to what was otherwise a good experience.
Post script: the response from the owner below suggests that the $5 (PER PERSON) coupon was only distributed by promoters. Guess what? These coupons were on display NEXT TO THE ENTRANCE of the establishment. There weren't any promoters involved. We didn't pay attention to the stand holding the coupons because it looks like any other brochure stand which are planted on that main drag. Someone in our party just happened to walk back outside (after we paid) and noticed the coupons while we waited for someone to use...
