Waited over an hour for our order, it never came.
Ordered right when we were seated.
Around 30 minutes after being sat we still hadn't received chips/salsa or water when all the other tables who'd been seated after us had.
Tables that ordered after us began getting their food, we asked one of the waitresses why that was and she said we weren't her table so she didn't know but she'd ask (she was very kind).
Another 10 minutes (40 in total) go by and we finally got our chips while every table that arrived after us with being served by the same waitress as us had received their food.
We finally managed to get our waitress attention and all she said was "it's coming" without even looking at us. The table behind us asked if we knew her or if she was our friend and was mad at us because they also noticed we were being ignored.
At this point we've been waiting an hour and still nothing. A busser came by to fill our coffee and we asked him if we could get the check. He was kind and said he'd get our waitress.
Another 10 or so minutes go by and our waitress finally gets to our table and asks us what we ordered. This is after she told us our food was coming. We told her yes we ordered when we sat down, she asked us to repeat our order and we did. Without a word she immediately walks away while we're asking for the check.
We waited another 5 minutes just waiting to pay for our drinks before we gave up. We left a $20 for 2 coffees and juice because she never came back and we didn't have smaller bills
While we were leaving the tables to our left and right both spoke to us and apologized for the way we were treated and said we were paying more than we needed to and they offered to break our bill but we were so over it at that point it...
Read moreWarning! The neighborhood near this restaurant is not safe! After having lunch at Gallardo’s with a couple friends, around 3:30PM on Saturday, two strange individuals followed us back to our parked car on Shotwell. The couple tried to get into our car, banged on the doors and windows. We drove away as quickly as we could. One of the individuals followed us for a couple blocks on a bicycle. He caught up to us on Folsom. There was traffic so it was hard to get away from him. We turned onto a side street and he tried to corner us. I don’t know if he was trying to rob us, steal our car, or nab my friend’s dog. He looked deranged, angry, and very scary. The whole situation was absolutely terrifying! Fortunately, my friend maneuvered the car around him and we were able to get away. If you decide to eat there, be aware of your surroundings. Maybe it would be more safe to call a taxi, Uber or Lyft or something? I would never myself consider returning there ever again. It was just too traumatizing. It’s a shame because the restaurant is very good. The Mexican food is amazing and the service...
Read moreWent here last night for the first time, after work, it was 6:45pm. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito immediately after I walked inside the restaurant because it was empty, guy I ordered from looked a little perplexed and walked into the kitchen-I asked if the grill was turned off because he walked into the kitchen looking a little worried. He must not have heard me so I went to use the bathroom. I exited the bathroom and he told me my burrito was ready-all within two minutes! I go to pay for my burrito and the woman behind the counter acts really put-off, very unfriendly, I greet her but she only says “Seven dollars!” No smile, no warmth. I ask her what time the restaurant closes “Six o’clock every day!” Even though online it says this place closes at eight and the door was open. I pay, grab my burrito and head out into the rain because now I can’t sit and eat. I peel open the foil to my burrito and the beans are as cold as the cashiers greeting. I had to stand out in the cold to eat my cold bean burrito from a cold employee at Gallardo’s. Definitely...
