Happy Cow Creamery & Tea — Restaurant in San Francisco

We came here around 6PM and ordered a strawberry rolled ice cream and it came with 3 toppings so we got strawberries, banana, and mochi. We also got a salted caramel rolled ice cream and a cookies and cream one. It didn’t take long for it to be ready for us to eat and I felt like the price is pretty good. They stuffed the ice cream in the cup which was much appreciated and tasted really good, but they didn’t give too much toppings. It wasn’t too sweet and satisfied our ice cream craving. The service was quick and friendly. It wasn’t crowded and there’s a small area to eat inside with 2 notebooks to draw in. Came to this place on Saturday afternoon since it was decently close to where I lived! No real wait at 7 pm on a Saturday night before closing time.

Good: I liked the cumin lamb jiangbing, but it also felt like there wasn't a lot of flavor besides the cumin lamb - 3/5 The spam musubi was tasty but had a ton of rice and not that much else - 4/5 - definitely was a great flavor The moo moo boba was tasty and the boba was especially good - not as big of a fan of the grass jelly - 4/5

this place has a veryyyy close potential to being 5-stars, particularly bc their jianbing (savory crepe) is so dang good. ive come here multiple times for their jianbing, and its literally amazing each time.

however, this place markets itself as a “creamery & tea” shop, and IMO it’s offering too much — a huge variety of ice cream, drinks, snacks. and unfortunately, while not bad, i don’t think the drinks/desserts here are as good as other boba shops.

my recommendation? im no business expert, but i do think this place could be a solid hit if it rebranded & trimmed the menu into asian snacks with a few boba flavors. there isn’t a ton of asian food in dogpatch, and with the quality of it’s current food, i think it could be...
