Disappointed is an understatement. We made our reservation weeks in advance to celebrate our 13th anniversary. You need a credit card to secure the reservation or it is a $50 cancellation fee per person if cancelled within 48 hours of reservation time. While I have never been an RH fan or enthusiast, I was intrigued to try the food at such a beautifully designed space in a renovated and revived historic building (the landmark Bethlehem Steel Building). We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation time and were seated rather quickly. Upon arrival, I realized most people adhered to the dress code, with many dressed up as we were, celebrating their special occasions as well. Our waiter was nice and attentive in the beginning with the appetizer (grilled shrimp) and drinks being brought within a timely manner. As we had been looking forward to this night and celebrating we ordered everything at the same time. This may have been the mistake we made in trusting our waiter because I believe he forgot to put the rest of our order in. With a 7:30PM reservation time, and drinks and appetizer being served right before 8:00PM, we did not see our dinner (the wagyu ribeye, branzino, truffle fries and asparagus) until after 9:30PM. We almost left. But we were hungry. And still trying to celebrate a special occasion and be positive. But what was more upsetting was the fact that our waiter only checked on us twice this entire time. And ever more upsetting than this was with the amount of waiters there were, and us sitting directly in front of the kitchen where the food comes out, that none of them checked on us either. And I lost count of how many times the waiters were coming out and back in with the same plates of food to the wrong tables. It was a frustrating mess watching, while waiting and hungry. I would be more understanding if this were a brand new restaurant, still working out its kinks. But they have been open since 2022. Almost 3 years later is plenty of time to get your shit together for the elegance and quality you are portraying. When our food did finally arrive, with profuse apologies, we were too tired to really eat. We boxed most of it up and to top the night off, when they brought our celebratory dessert (which the charge for) they said, "Happy Birthday". For a meal that cost almost $300, not including tip, we will never be revisiting this establishment again. If we had had more energy, I would have argued the bill. All we got was one comped drink and the birthday dessert off. Final take- not worth the risk or the price or the many influencers coming just...
ย ย ย Read morethe combo of the views/interior, great service, and tasty food, this place is a home run for me.
i thoroughly enjoyed my experience here at palm court as someone who never dined in fine dining before. thus, i wasn't clear on prices matching the food portions and all. but to me, the price was worth the meal. i came here in july and went to some other high end places since then, and in the end, i still prefer/like this place the most because of the three in a row combo.
first, the interior is truly out of this world. though it was busy, due to the high ceiling, the place felt so spacious and luxurious. the ambience was so calming and relaxing, i can't stress how much i felt as peace when dining here. you don't need to dress fancy, but it makes you feel all levels of classy if you did.
second, the service was so great. the waitress that helped us was very kind and the wait time for the food came out at reasonable times. (ie. first avocado took ten minutes, then steak came in 20 minutes/ 10-15 if you count us eating the avocado during that time, then just a few minutes for dessert). again if you did reservations online and stating that it is for a birthday, the dessert came as a complimentary item, which is very much surprising and much appreciated.
finally, the food. though i agree that the menu is very limited, there was still things i would order from their menu as a very picky eater. to me, i genuinely liked everything we ordered. my ranking is 1. steak, tied for 2. avocado and mushrooms, 3. creme brulee:
i agree with others that the steak be can slightly less burned, but in terms of flavor/texture, it was fantastic. it was sweet and salty (that salt is not needed imo) and perfectly medium rare and very filling for two.
the avocado is indeed expensive, but to me, the taste was worth the price as someone who's never had caviar, so everything combined worked wonderfully, taste wise.
my companion loved the mushrooms and i also loved the various textures with crispy potatoes and soft mushrooms. the potatoes can be a little on the salty-ier side but still. HOW CAN THE OUTSIDE BE SO CRUNCHY BUT so soft on the inside ???
the creme brulee is the cherry on top. it was very butterscotchy and sweet and was very delicious, brownie points for a silver candle ;)))
i'll definitely come back again because truthfully, i really enjoyed my experience. yes the price can be kinda crazy. but after going to some other places, this place was the most worth my money, after factoring in my home run combo...

As usual, the place was hopping as there was a conference in the city this week. But I was able to pull away and have a table for two in the back of a room or a business meeting with a CEO of a company. It went well. The service was great. The food was even better. The wine silver oak was fantastic Perfect pairing the waitress and staff did an excellent job from appetizers to dessert. I will be back.
Update 12/22/2024
The experience was my 3rd in one year two birthday dinners and one lunch for business. Magnificent and a special shout out to Jess for my wifeโs birthday. Spectacular and attentive every moment. Making my wife and my family feel cared for. Even having two food allergies didnโt sway the chef from doing anything but perfection. Thank you and we will be back again soon and Iโm already recommending your restaurant across the country to all visitors.
12/22/2023 update
This is the second time Iโve visited the restaurant. First time at lunch for business, and this time for a birthday celebration for my wife the meal, the ambience, and the service was fantastic. Having valet parking in front with a nice touch the festivities were highlighted by a walkabout of the facilities from lower level to rooftop, the weather was perfect sky was clear and the view was wonderful. You were wearing jeans are you or dress up? You will experience wonderful meals and beautiful decorations. I look forward to the next visit.
A note to the restaurant regarding the waiter: The waiter we had serving us was excellent right amount of attention made us all feel comfortable and help me celebrate my my wifeโs birthday. And add it to the experience. Wonderful accommodations for dietary needs and was the right amount of communication. Making sure we have plenty of beverages and an exceptional experience. Well done.
1st Experience Magnificent restaurant, beautiful styles and an Italian Palazzo style. Very glamorous. When you first walk into the waterfront restaurant, you wonder if youโre in a safe neighborhood that is quickly resolved with the security guard in the front in a black suit. In addition there is paid valet parking. You are greeted by two hostess when you first enter the beautifully adorned hallway to the restaurant you can see side rooms and the a glamorous open ceiling with a glass roof and a fountain. once you are done with the meal you can go upstairs to the rooftop and enjoy the sights and sounds of the city and beautiful view of the bay bridge and sit in a...
