If you are looking for a friendly dive bar in the Inner Richmond, with welcoming patrons, and an especially welcoming owner, come to Happy Lounge! This has remained my favourite bar in San Francisco over the last 7 years living in the neighbourhood, and you will just have to come yourself to experience the magic. We entered at 11pm on a Friday and didn’t let us in saying they were closing but it was pretty full and was pretty clear they just didn’t want us to be there for whatever reason.
