I'm in agreement with some of the newer reviews of this place. As a long time supporter of Jim's, I was surprised to see the ownership had changed and quality significantly drop. My first red flag should've been when I ordered a drink off their menu and they didn't have it at all, the waitress told me they didn't have that item since the new year...babe, were SEVEN months into 2025, take it off the menu. Honestly should've left after that bc my experience only got worse from there. I had to ask for the menu again to see what other drinks they had, I asked if their pineapple juice is made in house and she lied and said yes but you can obviously tell it's store bought...... Now to the food..I got a club sandwich and it was extremely dry + the fries were lackinggggg (the small amount you get for $17 is actually offensive). Not to mention, I put ketchup on the side (thankfully didn't put it directly on my fries!) and I found TWO flies in it. I honestly should've left at that point but Im not sure exactly what even made me stay and finish my meal. I did have to clean it up and ask for another ketchup cause there was NO way I was eating that one. Last but not least, homegirl was trying to charge me $13.50 for the ($3.50) store bought juice!!!!! How does $17 for the sandwich plus the $3.50 for the juice you didn't even make yourself come out to $32.22???? Pleaseeeee. I honestly was way too nice by leaving a tip but really, I shouldn't have at all, AT ALL. Y'all will not be seeing me here again which is quite unfortunate considering the original Jim's was a staple in our community, sad to see it go cause this new ownership doesn't...

I went here with my roommate for Saturday "brunch."

We didn't know our destination when we started wandering around the Mission. My expectations were typical for SF brunch: find someplace trendy on Valencia, wait in line for an hour, sit down to an expensive but tasty meal with rushed service. Sometimes these experiences are worth it for the deliciousness, conversation, and/or SF street cred, but in general I prefer to eat something satisfying & fast so I can go do other stuff with my free time. Jim's is perfect for that.

We were seated immediately, ordered within the first few minutes, and got our food before we noticed we'd been waiting. I ordered the avocado, onion, and cheese omelet with hashbrowns. The food itself was greasy but very tasty and cheap. And it wasn't overly greasy -- Jim's does a good job calibrating expectations with the mid-20th century diner decor :)

The only thing that really bothered me was the noise from the espresso machine, but I can avoid that next time by sitting near the windows.

I live only a few blocks away and expect to...

I’ve been coming here for many many years since I was a little girl, came here plenty of times with my grandparents and I have been super happy with the service and food, now that they sold it to different people it’s changed, I’m happy they decided to keep the cook guy cause he’s been here for many years and I love his cooking, customer service is different it’s not organized or welcoming, my order was incorrect and I spoke to the lady in Spanish as she was struggling with English, the French fries are not the same when previous owners were working here, the fries now look of old cheap quality it was nasty and my milkshake was not the same it was super watery and it tasted like medicine, it’s pretty upsetting as the prices are higher then the previous owners. I think the only reason why I decide to give the new owners a second chance was cause of the cook guy, he’s a very sweet man he’s a hard worker, but seems like food quality is cheap Unfortunately I Will not be coming back! I miss the old...

We were a group of 6 adults plus 2 loud & restless toddlers. We were immediately greeted like family and seated in a spacious booth that allowed us to corral the kids. We quickly had coffee, ice water and orange juice (& 2 to-go cups with lids for toddler juice). Mrs. Kim knows our son who stops in frequently and was excited to meet his family. The famous green hot & garlicky sauce came out with the second pour of coffee, quickly followed by our steaming hot eggs, hash browns & various salty breakfast meats. Topped with the green sauce and a third cup of coffee, it was delish. One of us had the corned beef hash that was excellent, especially with green sauce. Did I mention how great the green sauce is?!

This is an old school diner run by Kim and her husband. If you like mimosas, Kim has a nice large glass for you. (they come in 2 sizes) Wings were crispy. Steak, egg and home fries were good. The steak had more fat than I like. My coffee cup was always full. Kim runs the front of the house and is such a wonderful person.

Kim and her husband are the best! This is my favorite breakfast diner in San Francisco. The food is always amazing and the service is perfection. Kim is the most kind and genuine server ever. If you're in San Francisco and want a great breakfast, lunch, a snack or an amazing mimosa come to jims on mission.
