When I went to pick up my tools that I took a loan against I was helped by a friendly female who informed me that she gave me the last of my tools. As I informed her of one more tool I was sure they had she listened to my description It was a disk sander valued at $200.00 dollars along with my Milwaukee hand truck that I let them use for the sander was quite heavy when I finished my description the girl along with one other store employee admitted it was there but she wanted to make sure. So downstairs she went only to return to tell me. (Since our computer says it’s been redeemed another words I already picked it up she can only sell it to me That’s right I have to buy it back along with pay for by hand truck. Low and below here comes the manager Steve who tells me if I don’t have my ticket then the computer is right and it’s the tool could belong to some one else. I’m guilty of losing my ticket which is a $3.00 lost ticket penalty not an opportunity for him to steel my tool. I could go on but I think you get the Idea I’m a 62 year old retired man on fixed income. I later find out that Steve is there area manager o he sets the example fo his employees to lie for the company benefits. If anyone at best collateral feels I’m. anything but telling the truth and needlessly ruining there good name I challenge Steve to take a polygraph test ( yes you can pay for them now) and I’ll take one also looser pays...
Read moreSo I had originally gave this place a good rating but then I went and picked up my Nintendo Switch and I didn't get my dock or a controller back. Which is a total of $160 to buy both of them new. I called twice to try and speak to the person who dealt with me and the first time the lady said he was at lunch and the second time she said he had come home. I am going to try calling one more time and if that doesn't work I'll go in but it's almost been a week and they didn't give me a copy of the transaction so it's all a matter of they are going to be honest and give my stuff back. I find it a little hard to believe that they would accidentally not return those items to me. Probably more likely they have other ones and stock that don't have the dock and two controllers. So I'll update this and say how it went cause if it was just an honest mistake well then they should have no problem admitting it and returning my items. We will see. But that is why I had to change my review from 5 stars to 2 stars. That is all that I got back. I know I should've noticed but I usually deal with Liberal Pawn on 6th St the only reason I didn't this day is I had went and they were out of cash. But that pawn shop has always been trustworthy and I've used them 40 to 50 times and always get my stuff out and never have to worry about anything missing. So I very stupidly thought it was the same for...
Read moreI needed a short-term loan that I got from here, thankfully. There aren't many options to use electronic instruments as collateral for a loan in San Francisco. I did note there is a very small selection of similar equipment for sale in the shop and so I imagine they use the online platforms for some of their inventory, such as EBay. In fact, to determine the value of my synth and thus loan amount, they referenced a sold listing from EBay, which seemed low to me, but I was in a pinch and needed the cash. I later did the same search and found the same listing but when opening the search result, the listing was deleted which usually signals a problem such as fraud had occurred. The next closest listing which was about $20 higher was for a damaged item, missing a key, and listed as For Parts Only. This is the reason for 4 stars. Be prepared to challenge them on such a scenario if you have similar items to pawn, but again, know your options in the area are limited. Overall, I am satisfied with the...
