I live a block away from this and never been here, and I feel like idiot for giving this place a chance. You know the place is garbage is after you ask the front counter what would they recommend or what do most people choose here and their response is to avoid answering you directly at all cost? "depends what you want" or "everything is good" [blank stare] this is more painful to watch - especially when you are speaking to the owner.
I got a bowl of latte, and a croissant that taste like cardboard. It does has a soury taste. I'm not an croissant expert, but i don't think that's what food should taste like.
And why are they advertising their coffee beans as "hand roasted" Someone has to inform them how coffee beans are made. They are ALL hand roasted.. You need to use your hands* to move those beans to drying rack either into an oven or under the sun. Unless... They meant to claim they have a person holding a handful of coffee and have the person rub the beans in their hands in hopes to create enough friction to hand roast it.. If that's the case, 1. OSHA doesn't approve, if they do.. 2. You will need few hundreds of people there just to fill a sack. Â 3. It's not sanitary. That's not a very efficient way to do it.
The couple next to me, after taking the first bite of their food, add some salt, took the second bite then decided to just opened a bottle of salt shaker and poured everything in their food. Mix it and continue eating. Same goes with the rest of other tables around me, they all have to add salt in their plate. 1 or 2 tables leave their food half eaten.
The only thing accurate about their yelp page are the photos they took. I have to pass by this place when I go to work and this place is EMPTY AF. When you look inside the so called bakers in the back are are looking at their phones because there's...

Let me just say this: when a croissant requires a 2-day pre-order, you know youâre in for something special.
Tucked in the heart of the Castro, Bistro Le Marais CrĂȘperie isnât just a bakeryâitâs a vibe. Between the laid-back Parisian dĂ©cor, sun-drenched cafĂ© tables, and the so-SF-it-hurts soundtrack of quiet laptop clicks and oat milk lattes, itâs the kind of place you come to feel a little fancy and a lot full.
Now, letâs talk about the star of the show: The Giant Croissant ($22 and worth every penny). This thing is a buttery beastâgolden, glossy, and crisp on the outside with a warm, soft, laminated interior that dreams are made of. You can literally hear the flake crackle as you pull it apart. Itâs not just a croissant, itâs an event.
The staff? Lovely. Patient. Totally cool with my croissant enthusiasm. Watching them wrap this carb treasure felt like I was witnessing a delicate pastry ceremony.
Also, major props for the space itselfâairy, calm, clean, and filled with natural light. Itâs the kind of place you could post up for hours with a friend, a book, or a hot gossip session over espresso and crĂȘpes.
Bottom line: Plan ahead. Order the croissant. Clear your morning. Your tastebuds...
Read moreMy family and I visited your restaurant during the holidays, eager to support a cherished neighborhood spot. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations due to significant service issues.
We ordered three dishes at the same time, but only two were served initially. My dish was delayed, and after waiting patiently for 30 minutes, my partner approached the cashier to inquire about it. The response, âDid she pay for it?â was disappointing, especially since payment is required upfront at your establishment. After confirming that we had indeed paid, we were told it would be ready in two minutes.
However, another 10 minutes passed, and during this time, the table next to usâwho had ordered the same dishâwas served before me. When my partner followed up again, my dish finally arrived, but it was rushed and placed on the table without any acknowledgment or apology for the delay.
While I understand the challenges of the holiday season, waiting nearly an hour for a dish with no communication about the delay was frustrating. As much as we wanted to enjoy our experience, the lack of attentiveness and care in addressing the situation left a lasting negative impression. I hope this feedback helps improve service for...
