Although the equipment in this gym allows you to "get the job done" and they do validated garage parking for $6, these are the ONLY positives I can highlight about this location. Any time I come to town, I grudgingly use this gym but I implore management and corporate to please please please start taking some pride in your clubs. The pandemic is subsiding. It's time to start investing in your people and your locations. This is probably the most run-down gym I've ever stepped foot in. Take a look at my photos and you'll see equipment falling apart, locker rooms in total disrepair, sinks out of order, sinks with vomit in them (which was not cleaned for over 2 days in a row), practically every hammer strength weight was falling apart in your hands from years of abuse and exposure to the windows which are open 24/7. This is truly where 24 sends equipment to die. 24 hour corporate. Take a look at this. Is this acceptable to you?

"18-hour Fitness" is changing their operating hours!!! The main appeal of this gym was its 24-hour accessibility, catering to customers' needs around the clock. Many, like myself, rely on late-night workouts to unwind after long shifts at the hospital. Why not close at 1 or 2am so us night owls could at least get some type of workout. Now, with the new hours, it's frustrating to feel disregarded as customers. Surely, a multimillion-dollar company can afford to keep the gym open a few extra hours by paying staff a reasonable wage. With a sizable group of us regularly working out past 11pm and paying significant monthly fees, it seems counterproductive for the company to alienate its loyal members. I, for one, will be canceling my membership—no sense in supporting a business that doesn't prioritize its customers' needs.

Roland and Jaheed are amazing staff members at this gym. They greet me every single day upon arriving. They are inspirational and continue to put smiles on members faces through small talk, jokes and sharing short stories ranging from their childhood, families, and their weeks. Overall, they make the gym feel more like a place of community as opposed to solely weights. Very grateful for both of them for being kind and incentivizing me to come to the gym more often.

Racist, condescending, extremely rude and thuggish management/trainers. They want you to pay up and shut up but then you can't use equipment here even when it's empty so that trainers and their clients get preference over you despite the fact you paid to use that equipment. Yesterday this one trainer got very irritated because I was using equipment that he wanted to use in 12 minutes for one of his clients. They treat their clients who pay extra better of course, because that's how they generate additional revenue. Anyways, despite the fact the customers pay THEIR salary & I have a right to use this equipment, and rather than cooperate and work together, this trainer was acting like a tremendous arrogant smug PRlCK, so I said you know what? I'm not going to leave this squat rack. If he had been polite and courteous I would have gladly done so, but no way if this guy is acting all irritated, bad-mannered, and dismissive. ––––––––––––––––––––

Of course, rather than talk things out like MEN, he complained to management and management threatened to cancel my contract and call the cops. So I told them go ahead, CALL THE COPS and they did (this was actually after things settled down). Of course, the cops didn't do anything because nothing illegal was done. They were actually pissed because this was a frivolous non-issue for them. The official reason for calling the cops? "Appearing intimidating." Keep in mind I'm a nerd, 26 year old Indian yuppy with a beard & has never harmed a butterfly in is life & certainly have never had cops called on him before. I certainly did not convey any hostile or intimidating looks – and even then that is not just cause to call the friggin' cops. But these employees at 24 Hour Fitness wanted to act all tough and "alpha" by trying to intimidate me and prove some point that they COULD call the cops. They were trying to paint me as the aggressor, and make me look bad, despite there being no just cause. Morons.––––––––––––––––

These guys wanted to remove me from the premises because my complaints were inconvenient, and they have some issue with tall, Indian, bearded guys that it necessitated them for some reason to call the cops. Did I attack or harass anyone? Nope. Do I intimidate these "bros" so much for just standing around to necessitate calling the cops (which they were annoyed because they have far better/important things to do). I apologize if my 6 foot frame, brown skin, and beard offends you/your clients so much because I look so "intimidating" in your OWN WORDS. If I were a skinny girl or a fat old white guy - would you have called the cops? I don't think you would have. Unbelievable.––––––––––––––––––

What else can you expect from a circus of meatheads (and they're not even THAT fit here - many of them average or fat SERIOUSLY).––––––––––––––

Check out the other locations - they all have bad reviews too.–––––––––––––

Read other reviews on the internet about 24 hour fitness. You get what you pay for. Bunch of power-tripping frittatas with limited skills, experience, and competency.

Read the other reviews here as well - the trainers are "cereal box certified", out of shape, and incompetent. Maybe if these employees learned some common courtesy, decency, and respect for "regular" members, they wouldn't receive such a scathing review.–––––––––––––

Anyways, like I said earlier - you get what you pay for. Don't expect decent customer service like you would at a gym like the YMCA when aggressive sales tactics (i.e. 5 pound whey protein bottles costing $100 lol), and sales pitches are slammed down your throat to increase the...

Been going to this gym for over 20 yrs. Not what it used to be ! It’s dirty , smelly , full of homeless people. The restroom haven’t been clean in years ! They keep dragging that dirty smelly mop around and don’t use any sort of cleaning product. The lockers are filthy and half of them vandalized. You will always see some homeless person lounging in the locker room ! Charging cell shaving , cutting hair etc. people appeared to live there ! They leave stuff in the lockers for days. The spa always broken and dirty !!!!!! Get your act together 24th fitness.

This morning 13 March I went to the club on Van ness ave and this this what happened I went to the gym , on my way out I tried to open my padlock but someone forced in with a tool ( trying to open it to steal my stuff ) and therefore I couldn’t insert the key. I went downstairs to the manager Cristina ‘s office to ask for help , I explained the situation and instantly she reply we can’t do anything I don’t have anyone. I asked her to send the receptionist upstairs with the cutting tool ( which she did send him up ) to open my locker so I could take my staff and ho home. She reply if the guy can’t open it you will have to wait until tomorrow when the handy guy comes back ! I told her my home keys are in the locker , my wallet and my jacket, she said this is the only solution I have !! She’s very rude! Sarcastic and not professional at all ! Just her answers were not very adequate to the situation. It was obvious I was in distress cuz my belongings almost got stolen , but she didn’t give a dam !!! Your club its getting very unsafe and dangerous! All you see in the locker rooms are homeless people shaving , living a mess in the bathroom and shovers and try their luck to steal stuff !!!!! Someone needs to address this issue to this so call Manager Cristina ! Her people skills are close to nothing !! Thankfully the guy who came up with the cutting tool was able to open my locker buy cutting the metal insert !!! The worst day I had at your gym ever !!! And I e been a member for a very long time ! PLEASE DONT PUT ANY VALUABLE IN YOUR LOCKERS ( NOW I KNOW WHY PEOPLE WALK AROUND THE CLUB EITH THEIR BAGS ) CUZ THEY WILL TRY TO OPEN IT ! NOT A SAFE CLUB ANYMORE ! MANAGER CRISTINA DOESNT...

This location has a theft problem. I consistently see cops there because of stolen items in the locker room. I always felt bad for them and then sooner or later i became a victim of the crime. I had my locker broken into WHILE it was locked. They stole everything! My wallet, my phone, and etc. It is ridiculous, what can they do with a stolen wallet? I had cash but couldnt they just take the cash and leave the wallet?

Regardless, the front desk attendant was EXTREMELY unsympathetic. He was NOT helpful at all and also a space cadet. The assistant manager was the only person who was willing to help and was very patient about it. The front desk person would NOT let me use their phone to call anyone. What did he expect me to do? I had my phone stolen at their locker room. The assistant manager had to come and allow me to use their phone. This should be standard. This should not need to be elevated.

They also refused to call the police and I had to do it on my own. They were unwilling to do anything besides file an incident report. The assistant manager was the only one who finally was willing to help me look for my items if they dumped the stuff. Luckily I convinced him of this because I found my unvaluable items but they still stole my wallet, phone, and etc.

Update - FYI i found out the attendant's name was Ivan. The guy is a complete idiot, MONTHS later, he had the balls to make fun of me about my locker being broken into and everything stolen. He had a stupid smirk on his face and thought he was hilarious. His comments were completely inappropriate and showed just how little he understood customer service. The guy has zero empathy.

Lastly, I complained to the manager the next day, the manager mentioned that it was unacceptable the way Ivan was acting, he then offered me a compensation 3 months free membership extension to my two year contract. A TINY consolidation prize for 2 stolen phones, stolen keys, my gym bag, all my clothes, my wallet, ids, cash, and the cost of a locksmith to get back home.

Then months later when my membership runs out. I find out that the manager never followed through with his promise and there was nothing they could do...
