Nob Hill Aesthetics | Medical Spa — Local services in San Francisco

It was my first time coming here. I confirmed in advance that they could provide daxxify and dysport via text. I also was trying to communicate in advance if I could work with my insurance and get a super bill to submit for my masseter Botox.

Today I showed up and there were 3 receptionists behind the desk. One was in training and I am absolutely not referring to this experience about her at all. It was the other person who was assisting her.

I didn’t get recognized by any of the questions I had texted about. I found out they in fact do not carry daxxify. Out of the three offices in I have been to for injectables this was by far the least well maintained. The fake wood floors were not sealed, the cabinets were chipped, the room was cluttered with equipment, and there were literally the most amount of procedure ads I have ever seen in any practice.

The injector spent very little time talking to me about my goals and why I was there. This is all despite me telling the front desk and putting in writing before my visit.

More concerning, I guess in the state of California you have to have a doctor review before injection. The doctor did not review my face nor discuss what was being done in any detail. I didn’t even see the face of the doctor because he was on pause over FaceTime.

I am honestly concerned about what will happen with my results, the cleanliness of this practice due to its poor maintenance, and how they are providing services.

I will lot be going back for my two week check.

I am extremely concerned why this business has so many high reviews because what I saw and experienced today does not at all meet that standard.

My experience at Nob Hill Aesthetics was very strange. I have been there at least 4 times now to participate in their botox membership, however I recently cancelled it because of the terrible vibes I always get here. First, the girls at the front desk are incredibly unfriendly and make you feel very unwelcome. Major mean girl energy in this office. Then, you are escorted to the back by the tall lady who insists on upselling you like crazy, while hardly looking you in the eye. She has asked me 3 times if I was interested in lasers to remove my freckles on my nose and cheeks when I told her from the beginning I was happy with them. I was injected by the nurse the first 3 times, who was nice enough and the results were ok, but the final time I was injected by the doctor (who is NOT a dermatologist, btw, and only entered into the injectables space in the last couple of years) and he had a weird vibe as well. My friend also went there (I referred her after my first session but of course they didn’t tell me that they offer a referral discount. They must only offer this to certain customers). She wanted botox and they couldn’t service her because the doctor wouldn’t answer the FaceTime while on vacation and the nurse couldn’t administer the botox without his approval. She had to leave and come back another time. Something is just off about this place and I can’t pinpoint it. You are better off at a different clinic where you feel at ease. I am a travel RN displaced from home during COVID. I had a Cool Sculpting treatment a few years ago and had amazing results. I had read the reviews for Nob Hill and figured, "Well it's Cool Sculpting, they can't really botch it up."

I was taken care of by Sonia and Moon. Moon did my initial evaluation. I am 37, not a "plastics" person but just wanted a some areas treated. Moon knew I was only in town a short bit. I was blown away by her precision, empathy and intelligence. She spent time with me to explain options, give her professional opinion and suggestions: she was patient and responsive to my questions for a treatment I had already paid for ahead of time.

There was work to be done. I met Sonia soon after: her bedside manner, expertise and professionalism were so welcomed and comforting (I am a nurse: we are the WORST patients, keep that in mind).

It was a long day for them and me: I was so sore towards the last hour but these ladies worked tenaciously and efficiently. One of my cyclyes hit it's thermo regulation limit and Moon made sure I got my dollar and time and redid the area.

I later found out they were short a practitioner. I am astounded at the speed, precison and compassion I was treated with.

I have only cosmetically had Cool Sculpting done. My experience here well exceeded my expectations. I would recommend Sonia, Moon and Nob Hill to everyone. Moon even checked on me later that night to see how I was doing. OUTSTANDING WORK! My sincerest...
