This rating is done considering the price of the menu items, and additional service charges, as it sets expectation on the customers.
Atmosphere 4/5 : Great decorations! I love the comfortable seats on the window side. The chair should have had cushion too, because it was cold and this restaurant is located in SF where the weather is usually chilly; that was one thing that I would improve.
Service 3/5: As this is a burger place, I don't expect too much from the servers, the lady took care of our table just fine. My order was taken diligently.
Food 1/5: As food is my main focus on my overall rating because I dine out for the taste, I'm not there for the environment as much as the taste of my food.
Incident: Although I mentioned that I'd love to get pink center on my Big Louie Burger (Priced: $16 + tax + service fees), So we ordered the burger at the Medium Rare temperature. The burger comes in, it was overly cooked to Well Done temperature that I already told server I dislike over cook patty at the time we ordered.
Although I mentioned this problem, server did nothing about it, instead we were asked to give it another try next time, hoping that one would be better. (We hope so.)
Considering the mandatory 18% service charge on top of over priced burgers (considering its quality) - This place is a no - go for me. If there is a fixed gratitude, I would surely not advised a credit on the bill, as it would punish the server by reducing the service amount (I think this is unfair to the server, it's the kitchen that didn't cook it right).
I didn't want my one star review to hit this place, I was so motivated to have a great burger, as I was told this place was related to one of the chefs in a Michelin Star restaurant but unfortunately we both were disappointed with the quality of the...
Read moreI'm so disappointed, hungry, and pissed at wasted money. The sloppiest wet, tasteless burger to be experienced. My fault was forgetting to say well done. It was so raw the juices ruined the bun. It was not fun to bite into such raw-ness The lettuce was almost transparent it was so wet and so much of it. I nuked the meat only to help cook it. Even two 30 sec rounds didn't help. I trashed it.
The fries... how do you destroy fries? They were waaaay to salty as if they had been brined and sprinkled with more salt. I literally started to feel sick after eating a few.
Cozy place, great music, it could've been a vibe. It would've been such a great place to hang at for a bit after a long day. But this is one I will not be giving a...
Read moreAfter making reservations for La Connessa, we decided we had to try Louie’s too. We got the Big Louie with an egg, the fried chicken sandwich, waffle fries, and a vanilla shake. The burger is honestly one of the best I’ve had in SF. It was juicy, delicious, and the bun was perfect. The chicken sando was also very tender and juicy but I personally didn’t love the sauce they used. If it didn’t have a sauce or had some other kind of sauce, it would be just as good as the burger. The waffle fries came out perfect in texture and salt level. The milkshake was thick, creamy, and had a thick layer of whip. Best of all was the service. We had Pablo, who was just so attentive and nice. Excellent service. Will...
