Must have been an off day for them or something. They were absolutely slammed. Waited over 10 mins but nobody came by to take my order or offer water. Had to wave at the staff several times before someone came over, who looked very stressed, to take my order. I get it, they were packed and under staffed, but even just a smile or acknowledge of how busy they were would have gone a long way. My drink took over 15 mins to arrive, and my food took over 30 mins. My latte was very watered down, almost like sugar water. I ordered the farmhouse breakfast. The toast was a limp soggy mess, and the ham was overly salty, dry as the desert, and hard as leather. But the worst parts were the grilled tomato slices and the beans. The tomato slices tasted really bad and really bitter, no idea why it would taste so bitter? The beans had a thick marinara sauce (like thick pizza marinara sauce). Tasted gross honestly. Not once did anyone come by after taking my order to check on me. No offers to refill the water. Overall, it was absolutely terrible. Never ever coming back here again! No idea why it got such good reviews.

I had gone here with my brother for breakfast the other morning and I was hesitant to write a review but I feel that it is needed. We originally planned to go here for the high ratings online but after eating here, the high ratings just don't add up. The ambiance is unique but not cozy, it's as if they are trying to pretend to be an upscale eatery but can't maintain the image with the level of knickknacks and junk placed everywhere. The food did not meet our expectations. My brother, having ordered a plate of French toast, received only one and a half pieces of bread, and for the cost, that's just embarrassing on the behalf of Magnin Street Cafe and Bistro. I ordered a breakfast sandwich which for $20+ should have at least been more complete and seasoned. This was so disappointing and we will not be back. I suggest you think twice before wasting your time and money on this establishment that doesn't take pride in their food.

While on vacation, we stopped by Magnin Street Cafe & Bistro for breakfast and really enjoyed the experience! I ordered the San Francisco omelette and an iced mocha. The hash potatoes were absolutely perfect—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, just the way I like them. The iced mocha hit the spot without being overly sweet. The omelette had great flavor, especially with the crab meat, bay shrimp and fresh basil. The only thing I would tweak is the cream cheese—instead of being in a glob, I wish it had been mixed in with the crab with bay shrimp and evenly spread throughout the omelette. That would’ve really elevated the bite. Big kudos to our server, who was handling a full section and still managed to be friendly, attentive, and efficient. You could tell she was working her hardest, and it didn’t go unnoticed! Definitely a great breakfast stop if you're in town.

I am not sure how this is rated so high. On our visit, there were 2 people there when the site stated "busier than usual." Staff were even coming outside to recruit people to come in as we were reviewing posted menu. The food was so-so...and portions were dismal...the fish and chips came with ONE small piece...very odd. Very limited and prior reviews did not align with our experience on a Friday pm at 7pm. I will add that the staff were nice, and because no one was there, it offered a peaceful space to chill out.

Reply: Thank you for the reply, however, I believe you confused the rude behavior with someone else before or after our visit. We did not say anything rude to the server, and we had an overall pleasant experience with staff as previously noted. We also do not condone the type of behavior you noted, and that is not our style. My intent is not to go back and forth, but I felt I should address that comment as it portrayed my friend and I incorrectly and may have been more personal due to the...
