Short of Tony's, this is the closest thing I've found to authentic, NY-style pizza in SF. Crust is thin, chewy, and stays crisp, sauce is never too sweet, cheese and toppings are distributed well. Delivery times can be slow despite only living a mile and a half away (usually an hour, up to 2 on Friday and Saturday nights), but it was always worth the wait. Plan ahead!

My partner and I have also come here in person a LOT (I used to transfer on my commute at Market and Castro, so I'd pick up a slice/pizza at least once every two weeks on my way home) and while the service isn't anything to write home about, I have never had issues with staff being rude or offensive as others have mentioned. We come here for the pizza, not the service, and after three years of being regular customers, we've never had an issue with either.

Only real downside is they are cash/check-only. Pizza here isn't cheap, either, but it is average for SF (where pizza is criminally expensive across the board) so I can't fault them for...

Visited this establishment for the first time with a group of three of my friends who had been there before. I sat down with my friends inside and was told to leave because I was not eating. I was told that they needed to save my seat for someone who wanted to eat inside. Part of me can understand the logic except for the fact that I was already crammed into the wall/window behind all of my friends and then had to climb back out of the cramped space as I was kicked out. It was kind of a humiliating experience and I don't think this is a professional way to run a business. The man at the restaurant also came off as disrespectful like he was talking to a child and not a grown man. Giving this place two stars because my friends seemed to like their pizza... but I wouldn't know and I'm not going back...

Tried to snag a slice but I had my bike with me and no lock so I brought my bike in with me. They proceeded to tell me I couldn't bring my bike in so I put it in there little hallway and they tell me I can't leave it there either. So I tell them the situation (I have no lock) and they tell me "THEY DON'T CARE, I have to leave my bike on the rack outside" where anyone could steal it. Mind you its 9pm and only a few people are inside so its not like the place is packed. In the end it worked out cause I got better pizza from mystic pizza in the lower haight (oh and I was able to bring my bike in no problem and they had twice as many...

Great pizza! SOoooo glad I stopped in!! The very nice young woman at the counter heated the combo slice & removed the onions (I said beforehand I didn't care for & would remove myself). The flavors & crust were EXCELLENT!!! Later, her & the male cook had a disagreement that was intensifying. I interrupted it & told him his words & volume towards her were inappropriate. She left a short time later. He apologized to me for the behavior & stated they're longtime friends & argue like siblings. The owner can look into this later 😉 I will come back again for the pizza 🍕🍕🍕

I absolutely love their Pizza! The chef made half cheese and pepperoni for my grandson and he made half light sauce, feta cheese and basil for me. It was absolutely delicious the crust is so crisp and light it's wonderful and I love their pizza sauce as well. It's a small place, pizza by the slice or by the pie, directly across from the Castro theater. In my opinion it's one of the little gems here in San Francisco The new photo is a crisp thin crust, light sauce with red bell pepper, broccoli, green onion and rosemary... Mmmmmmm. Simply the best

One of life's great foods after a night of drinking? Pizza! ATMOSPHERE: The no-frills small restaurant has a few indoor tables, a pizza display case and open-view kitchen. MENU: Apps, salads, pizzas, calzones, hot subs, burgers. FOOD: Cheese Mushroom & Tomato Pizza The room-temperature slices got reheated and boxed. The thin crust was chewy and topped with marinara, cheese, lots of fresh mushrooms and diced tomatoes. Simply delicious! SERVICE: Counter service was friendly and quick. OVERALL: A bit pricey, but what homemade pizza joint isn't?
