Had to share my excitement after a second take out experience with Mediterranean Aroma. I got the vegetarian combo platter and was amazed by the flavor and freshness.

The hummus is so velvety, truly the star of the show. Baba ghanoush was hearty with a balanced smoky flavor. The side of labneh I ordered was a tangy, bright contrast to the previous dips, topped with a robust olive oil and mint.

The platter also came with dolmas and falafel. Unfortunately, the falafel was forgotten my first order, but was totally redeemed the second round. It was perfectly fried to maintain a crispy exterior with a fluffy interior -- very well seasoned.

The Jerusalem salad was fresh and lightly dressed, but could have benefitted from resting in its juices. This dish is excellent as leftovers, which are almost guaranteed due to the incredible portions. It appears that the tabbouleh was made with quinoa instead of bulgar wheat (maybe I'm mistaken), which was a nice change. It was hard to tell, which leads to my only criticism that I wish there was a little more of a balanced grain-parsley-tomato ratio. The flavor was good, but the tabbouleh was a little too herbaceous for my taste. I LOVED the mixed pickle, as it posed as a tasty palate cleanser between bites.

As a rule, I always order extra pita. I don't know what the standard pita count is, but they've sent me home with a 6-pack of pita each time. They are generous in many capacities (i.e., the giant chunks of authentic feta provided to crumble at one's own discretion).

My impression upon my first pickup was that this is a family business that puts a lot of care and love into their work. The sweet exchange of watching the woman in the back tending to the hummus send her son with a sample to the gentleman manning the grill, his passionate demeanor as he says, "it needs a little more UMPH!", truly warmed my heart. I felt so grateful to have witnessed such a simple but beautiful moment and especially to enjoy the fruits of...

I cannot believe I have not written a review of this place yet! After searching and trying many different places that are self proclaimed Mediterranean places, we fell in love with this place and have been getting carry out from here on a regular basis for probably over two years now, if not longer! Not only is the food super fresh, tasty, and on the healthier side (although I do indulge and get the fried falafels, which are just amazing!), but the owner/chef is simply super kind and generous, always spoiling us by throwing in a pack of pita bread with our order. We usually get carryout, but sometimes we eat there and it’s spacious, clean, casual and welcoming. A detailed note about the food: We usually get the combo platter, with falafel and baba ghanoush, and red cabbage on the side. The combo platter is simply the perfect balance of non-greasy meat, additional protein in the form of hummus, two fresh salads, the Jerusalem salad and the tabouli, and the most delicious rice ever. It’s such a great balance of carbs, veggies, and meat that I am super ecstatic to serve it to my kids every time we get it. Everything about this place is simply incredible and we will definitely continue to be getting food here for years to...

Delicious would be an understatement to describe how amazingly delicious the food at this restaurant is. Not only is the meat HALAL, but they have options for everyone whether you want something vegan, vegetarian, keto, full of protein, or just overall healthy food. The flavors are authentic and the food is extremely fresh. The meat is beyond juicy and the falafel is so crisp and the absolute BEST I’ve ever had (highly recommend it with tahini sauce and shattah). Also, the potions are super generous! I love that this location is so clean, affordable, and aesthetic and conveniently located next to Chase Center and UCSF. The owners are extremely kind and humble folks. The service has been nothing but amazing every single time I’ve stopped by here. I love that I can either grab something quick on my lunch or I can invite a friend to sit down for a delicious dinner. I can’t wait to come back and try more menu items!! Thanks...
