Mucky Duck — Restaurant in San Francisco

This intimate bar is located off the very popular corner of 9th and Irving where you'll find a lot of UCSF students and staff going to hand out in the afternoons. This place is small so it can get crowded fast. There a few TVs around the place but getting them to play different channels can be a bit of a challenge due to the wiring. The bartenders are ok, not uber friendly, at least not the few times I've been there. It's also super busy all the time so they don't have much time to chat. There is a dart board up front but playing it can be a pain since you're so close to the bar, and I'm a terrible darts player, that you're constantly worried about it bouncing off and hitting people. It's a little divey but a good place to go for a drink and a loud chat...

4 stars for service and drink options. ZERO stars for ownership. Cold cider is good. Bartender is good. Loses stars for having DirectTV so no beIN sport or FuboTV so not a good bar for soccer watching. Bartender offered to let me use the TV remote to find what I wanted to watch. Bar website says you watch any/all sports in town or out of town. Bar owner makes things uncomfortable for customers by taking the remote away and saying "It's my TV. It's my remote." It's like he's a ten year old. I drank my one cider, tipped the bartender, and left. I'm a middle aged white guy and the owner made me feel uncomfortable. I can only imagine how the owner treats women or anyone else he thinks is...
