First time here! Came with my partner after a day at the museum. We were hungry and decided to just order common dishes to play it safe (but they do have a list of specialties that sounded tasty). Overall, it's not terrible, it's not amazing, and it's not for us. Still glad we tried it though cause now we know.

AMBIENCE Cold and empty. We waited a bit in the front since no one was around when we walked in, but someone eventually came out from the back to greet and seat us.

SERVICE We sat for a bit before our orders were taken - we ordered two dishes. Only one dish came out so we decided to start since the second dish took longer to come out. We almost finished the first dish when the second dish finally came out. It's not like service is nonexistent...it's just the bare minimum which is better than no service. We got to order food, we received our food, we got the check, and that was it.

FOOD [Pad Thai w/ Pork] A classic Thai dish so we decided to try it. I found it a bit too sweet and tangy/tart (not quite sour). I asked for some chili flakes and that made it better buuut meh, nothing special. There were some peanuts folded in but overall, not quite authentic.

[Fried Rice w/ Fried Chicken] The rice was pretty basic and there wasn't much flavor. I wasn't a fan of the barely cooked onions either. The chicken came out as little pieces but the problem with that is that they end up drying out when deep-fried. Sooo many pieces of dried chicken.

[Thai Iced Tea] So sweet! My throat hurt a bit afterwards...

Twice disappointed by the service. Twice I feel cheated out of my money. The first time, my pickup order physically fell apart. The sauce dissolved and broke the paper plate. The meal fell into the plastic bag, got tossed around and ruined. They took my name and number and agreed to give me the dish for free next time. Upon my return, they refused to give the dish for free. They told me to come back instead at lunch time. They wouldn't honor their promise at dinner. The dish costed the same between lunch and dinner. The only difference was lunch included a salad, dinner not. I would have been ok, at dinner, without the lunch salad. I was with a friend. Otherwise I would have expressed my negative feelings and gone to Marnee Thai one block away. The dish was not good. The chicken was dry. I will never return to this place, especially because of the service but also because the quality of the food does not merit it. I highly suggest Marnee Thai down the street. They might be a few dollars more expensive, but the cooking is worth it and there they have interesting authentic dishes. Never...

We’ve been walking past this restaurant for the last 15 years and finally decided to give it a try. We were so impressed with this Thai restaurant especially since Marne Thai has fallen so far from their past excellence. First, the atmosphere is so subdued, welcoming and quiet. We could talk to each other without a lot of loud noises. Secondly, the service is wonderful and so very friendly and efficient. The staff were always smiling and warm. Finally, the food was excellent and delicious. We ordered the shrimp spring rolls which was so tasty and accompanied by a tamarind dipping sauce, it was incredibly fresh and unique with the sauce! We ordered the green curry with chicken and also the brown rice. That was absolutely amazing and delicious. Finally we also ordered the Koh Soi which had such an intensely strong flavor and was just great. The only issue was that the sauce for the koh soi was a bit thick and needed something to clear the palate. We loved it and the prices were reasonable sooo we will...

A very cozy Thai restaurant in the Inner Sunset. The place is pretty nice, not cramping with tables and seats. The people here so far were all really nice and helpful. The food are really good. I am a fan of Thai food and I would definitely put this in my top Thai restaurant in SF. The price is also quite nice, similar to other Thai restaurant but with better food. I'd recommend papaya salad for appertizer and tomyum for soup. Overal, 5 stars. I have come back here many time. . I'd change my review from now on a bit. I leave some of my thought on each dish that I have taken photo. Extra: some dish that I tried but don't have the photo. Seafood sauteed: really love the rich flavor and variety of toppings, not coming with rice so I recommend trying some rice with this. Padthai: very on point, not oilly, nice flavor, chewy and not too soft noodle. Coconut soup is also nice, my friend liked it.
