I missed eating mala so was very happy to found this place. The place is very spacious. After entering and looking at the menu, we took a big bowl and put in whichever ingredients we would like buffet style. The price goes by the weight of ingredients.
I ordered dry mala xiang guo with super mild spice level. It came with quite a bit of soup broth, probably because it's not easy to flavour dry ingredients with only mild spiciness. I still loved it and the spice level was perfect for me. But if you can take spice, I recommend trying the dry one with normal spice levels instead. There is also option to eat it with rice.
My partner got the pork black garlic broth with no spice. It was really good and flavourful. I do wish the potatoes were not so mushy as i like it crunchy. Overall it was great and price is reasonable. I will...
Read moreSO so excited to have a malatang place nearby!! Paying by weight is refreshing with so many al-you-can-eat places nearby. Great bang for your buck, and you don’t feel pressured to overeat to get your money’s worth
It’s just a soft opening right now so the options are limited but sounds like they plan to expand the menu soon.
Highly recommend the pork bone broth. If you’re a fish ball/cake or oden lover (I am haha) they have many kinds to choose from! And if you’re a newbie to the ingredients, I highly recommend the little money bags 💰-- tofu skin filled with egg and a little shrimp. Very flavorful 👌they cook all the ingredients so nothing is overdone and everything is warmed to perfection
Good vegetarian options as well - there’s a tomato broth and many variations of tofu and mushrooms for whatever you feel like...

It was my first time at a restaurant where you pick your ingredients, choose your broth, and decide on the spice level before they cook it for you. Everything looked super fresh, and the guy at the counter took his time explaining how it all worked, which I really appreciated.
Since I wasn’t too hungry, I went with the soup and a medium-sized portion. I added a few mushrooms, baby corn, steak slices, and some other veggies—it ended up being about $9. The broth was packed with flavor without being overly salty like in some other places. Overall, a great experience! I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend giving this...
