We placed an online order for two burritos through Gordo’s app and went to the store to pick it up.
When I arrived, I lined up with the other customers, there were three parties ahead of me and two behind. I approached the cashier and informed her that I had placed an online order about 15 minutes earlier. She old me it wasn’t ready. I stepped aside and waited patiently.
As the line moved, I noticed that the customer who was behind me when I was in line, received his order. I asked the cashier again if my order was being prepared, and she dismissively replied, “We’re busy.” Then, two more customers—also behind me in line—received their food. I asked once more about my order, and was met with the same indifferent response: “We’re busy.” I pointed out that had I simply waited in line and ordered in person, I would already be eating. At that point, the employee preparing the burritos looked at me with a hostile glare and said, “Take it easy, man”. I reminded him that I wasn’t yelling or being aggressive—I was simply asking for the food I had already paid for. He and the cashier then began speaking in Spanish and laughing at me, which felt deliberately mocking and unprofessional. The burrito maker then threw together two burritos in a rushed, careless manner. He shoved them toward me and said, “Here, take it,” in a tone that was both condescending and aggressive.
I refused to accept the food. The behavior of the staff—especially the burrito maker—was shockingly rude and blatantly disrespectful. No customer should be treated with such disregard, especially when they’ve done nothing more than ask for the order...
Read moreHad allergic reaction to tomatoes in my takeout burrito, which I never ordered, was on the menu, or was told it contained. Thankfully, I had my EpiPen handy, but only after my child witnessed me convulsing and started crying from being scared to death. Called the store and they called me a liar and said that they told me there was tomatoes. I told them I would NEVER ok having tomatoes put into my food; they again said I was lying. Dishonest and indignant staff and no manager or owner anywhere on the premises. They refused to refund my money or remake my burrito. Too bad, since this is the closest burrito place to my new apartment. I'm reporting them to the health department for failure to disclose ingredients on their menu for risk of...
Read moreFood was not good at all, I don’t know what people are on about. Maybe we caught them on a bad night. The cheese you pay extra for on the super burrito is literally a melted square of plastic american white cheese. They don’t give you enough of the pico which is actually good, while the green salsa just tastes like tomatillos. The beans and rice are absolutely flavorless- you can tell they really rely on their meats to season for them. You have to pay extra for guac and sour cream, even if you get a super burrito. Which means you are paying the extra $2 for kraft cheese and a tablespoon of salsa. Chips are meh. Guac is great. Customer service was wonderful. They got a good spot, but their...
