Nestled away like a well-kept secret, this hidden gem has become my go-to dining destination, and for good reason. From the moment you step through the door, there's an unmistakable charm that envelops you. The ambiance effortlessly sets the stage for what turns out to be an extraordinary culinary journey.

Let's dive into the heart of the matter – the food. It's not an exaggeration to say that every dish on the menu is a tantalizing symphony of flavors. The culinary prowess displayed in each creation is nothing short of impressive. From appetizers to desserts, this establishment has mastered the art of satisfying even the most discerning taste buds.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the wonton soup. It's not just a dish; it's a revelation. The first spoonful is a burst of flavors that dance on your palate, leaving a lasting impression. The broth, rich and savory, perfectly complements the delicate wontons, creating a harmonious blend that's hard to forget. It's the kind of dish that lingers in your memory, making you crave its unique taste long after you've left the table.

Beyond the culinary delights, the service adds another layer to the overall experience. The staff's attentiveness and genuine warmth contribute to the welcoming atmosphere. It's evident that the team takes pride in providing not just a meal but an unforgettable dining experience.

As a self-proclaimed food enthusiast, discovering this hidden gem has been a game-changer. UPDATE: Down to a star since the owner has the audacity to comment. I can not recall the last time I felt so out of place anywhere let alone a restaurant. Sadly we were the only non asian people in that tiny establishment and the only ones handed forks and not even offered chopsticks. I was extremely surprised at the assumption that we didnt know how to use them :/ Food was decent, noodles kind of flavorless. It took 45 minutes for our food to come out while everyone around us had already been served no more than 20 minutes after their arrival and our orders were pretty much the same thing. Still patiently we waited. When it came time to pay the bill we didnt leave a tip (we dont tip anyone, specially in CA most specially in San Fran) Server/owner came back with the receipt in hand and demanded a $15 tip on a $60 bill (thats 25%) the audacity!! I proceeded to tell her its customary and not mandatory and she began yelling at me in front of everyone that I need to pay and if I didnt she will charge me anyway (looking forward to see what the total is once it clears the bank) She proceeded to follow me and my kids out the door as she yelled in her language, dont know what she said but I assume it wasnt kind words. Honestly shocked at that kind of behavior this day and age.

Pros: Beef Broccoli and Mangolian Beef were decent Complimentary Green Tea That is literally it!

P.S. Abolish tips and raise the menu prices, then theres no...

I recently dined at New Fortune restaurant in San Francisco and it was one of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever been to. The food was simply amazing, from the appetizers to the main course. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the portions were huge. In fact, I couldn't finish everything on my plate!

The service was also outstanding. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and they made sure that everything was perfect throughout our meal. However, the inside of the restaurant is a bit small, so it may be a bit cramped during peak hours.

One minor downside is that the food can take a bit long to prepare, but it's definitely worth the wait. The prices were also very reasonable, especially considering the generous portions. Overall, I highly recommend New Fortune restaurant for anyone looking for a delicious Chinese meal with excellent service. I can't wait to come back and try more of...

One of the best hole in the walls in chinatown. The owner is sooo nice and they have lots of authentic dishes and some of the best lunch deals in the entire city. The spare ribs have a really nice sauce. The won ton and the soup is also very good nice light flavor with a hearty healthy broth. I like spicy and ive also ordered Mongolian beef and asked for extra spicy since it's typically not very spicy and they added some chili and black pepper and it was delicious. I usually get 2 dishes and some rice and it's typically less than $25 absolutely banging deals. I've been there at least 6 times and every time left feeling like I got the best food deal of my life and leave stuffed as hell with leftovers even sometimes
