Bernal Heights just welcomed it’s newest restaurant ✨ Precita Social is Chef Greg Lutes’ of 3rd Cousin second restaurant bringing elevated comfort food, a seasonal raw bar & beautiful dishes inspired by Japanese, Italian & French cuisines to the city’s dining scene. Here’s what we loved: • Handrolls - don’t skip these! • Keluga caviar + French onion dip • Bluefin crudo + Korean chili aioli • Stracciatella + KJ orchard next • Steak frites + disco fries • Lobster mafaldine amatriciana • Pork belly + Pole Bean Sizzling Rice • Kakigori with strawberry & melon • Dubai chocolate sundae 🥂 This is such a charming restaurant with inventive dishes with a global twist! 👀 Be sure to follow @cheycheyfromthebay & @thefoodiemon for more of the best San Francisco Bay Area recommendations on where to stay, eat & play! 📍San Francisco, California #sfguide #sffoodies #sanfranciscorestaurants #sfeats #sanfranciscoeats

Staff was very friendly and attentive— also, we were celebrating a birthday so there was a handwritten card on the table, which was very sweet! We had the brussels sprouts, parker house rolls, chicken katsu, and pork belly rice. The standouts were the brussels sprouts and rolls, the flavors of the fusion dishes did not really work for me. I’m asian though, and bizarrely when we were eating, one of the waiters (or chefs?) came over to ask if I needed chopsticks. My partner (non-asian) and the tables next to us (non-asian) were not asked this… Overall, we enjoyed the experience and would come back to try some of the classics as opposed to their fusion dishes!

My wife and I went here recently with our 2 close friends to celebrate our friends getting a new job. We ordered the lobster hand roll with uni and caviar, the cod, the steak, the pork belly rice bowl and the Dubai chocolate sundae. Everything was good but none of the dishes were standout amazing to me. The restaurant had a good ambiance for a celebration with our friends. I didn't leave craving the dishes afterwards or wanting more of a certain dish.

Audit your bill - this is a shady business. I booked a dinner for two during Restaurant Week and pre-paid, including a 20% service charge. We ordered oysters that were not delivered until the waitress realized that they went to the wrong table. When the oysters finally arrived, they were so hastily shucked that the meat was still stuck to the shell. Then the steak arrived undercooked (we ordered medium rare and this was obviously rare). We sent it back and a moment later it was returned, still rare. When we sent it back again it was returned covered in an extremely salty sauce au poivre. We were told that the oysters would be comped, but they were still on the final bill, along with a 20% Large Party fee - we were a party of two. I raised this with the owner and after some argument, he finally voided the bill. But, this was too little too late. Also, I noted that it was my partner's birthday on the reservation, but that was never acknowledged. In summary: horrible service, mediocre food and shady accounting. I'll...

Upon arrival, multiple staff members looked directly at and didn’t acknowledge us. The host kept focus on his tablet without even a hello, and after a long, awkward pause finally asked what we “needed help with”, instead of simply offering a table for two.

He then said he’d have to check with the waitress to see if she could “take another table,” which made us feel like we should be grateful just to sit down. We were seated at a table another party had just refused, crammed in a crowded corner in an otherwise very empty restaurant.

The waitress never introduced herself or welcomed us. Her tone the entire evening was curt and transactional. It gave the impression that customers were an inconvenience rather than valued guests.

I got a watery pasta with broccoli, not at all flavorful. The rest of the food was good. The only bright spot was the bussing staff, who actually smiled.

First impressions matter, hospitality matters, and consistency in the kitchen matters. Until that is addressed, I cannot...

I visited this new establishment at 9:15 pm tonight. It had just opened the previous night, and the staff had invited me to come by tomorrow. Upon entering, I was approached by a staff member who asked if I needed help. I explained that I was trying to find the host stand. However, the staff member continued walking away from me and informed me that the restaurant was closed. This was surprising because several tables were occupied with people dining and drinking.

I politely requested a drink, but the staff member responded with an apology, saying that they had stopped serving food. This response didn’t address my question, so I decided to leave. While I may consider returning in the future, my first visit and the “grand opening” experience left me feeling undervalued and...
