PIECES OF SHARP BROKEN PLASTIC IN SAUCE. I’ve been going to both locations for years. I would go at least once-two times per week. The chicken is amazing, the fries and Brussels to die for. They’re sauces-soooo good. I would even go there as my number one soft serve choice-their flavors are so delicious. Def my favorite. I brought friends here every week because I wanted everyone to know how good it was. Anyone who visited me from out of town-this was our first stop. Sadly the last time I had it-my friend picked it up for us to-go, brought it to Oakland for me-we got one of everything and extra chimichurri sauce (my fav), I bit down on my first bite and my tooth cracked. I looked in the sauce and there were several broken pieces of sharp hard plastic! Someone must have accidentally dropped something in there while mixing the sauce. I know accidents happen-I’ve been in the industry my whole life-I contacted the manager, they said they’d get insurance to cover it. I got an estimate for the work that needed to be done to get a new molar which was 5k. The insurance adjuster was extremely rude and unhelpful. The manager was trying to claim it didn’t happen, tho I have photos of the plastic in the sauce and clearly my entire tooth was broken. Years later the insurance adjuster never responded to me, the manager never responded to me and I still haven’t been able to afford to get my tooth fixed. Such a bummer to have been such a loyal customer here. Brought them so much business and was even understanding about this mistake that happened, even tho I lost an entire molar. Just can’t believe they didn’t pay to have it fixed or do anything to make this right. I guess check your sauce before you eat it? Still hoping they will make this...
Read moreLet me start by saying I’m a huge fan of Rich Table.
Went to RT Rotisserie on Broderick for a chicken rice bowl for lunch on Monday (I had not eaten anything else earlier that day).
Tummy felt weird soon after, developed throbbing headache & loss of appetite that evening, skipped dinner & went to bed.
Next day, symptoms got even worse & started having vomiting & diarrhea, hot flashes & chills, excruciating abdominal pains. Slept for most of the day without any food. By 9pm, vomited while on a telehealth call with a nurse practitioner, who recommend I talk to an actual doctor. By 11:30pm, had a telehealth call with a doctor - was in so much pain I was curled up on the floor & couldn’t talk (my husband had to talk for me). Doctor told me I was in too much pain for a stomach bug & needed to go to the ER.
Went to ER 12:30pm & had tubes put in for rehydration & various meds. Went home at 3:30am (I have a one year old baby). Didn’t/couldn’t eat for 48 hrs due to loss of appetite & vomiting.
It is now Thu evening and I’m still recovering. Even walking around at home is exhausting, and while I can keep food down now, I still have no appetite. I’ve experienced food poisoning before, but not like this.
Needless to say, I’m extremely disappointed with RT Rotisserie. I never thought I would get food poisoning from such a well known...
Read moreIt's funny when you search "chicken" for food you never know what you're going to see pop up. I've been here twice now; the first time was for a fried chicken sandwich and the second was for their salad. The sandwich was really good and fair for the price. The salad was alright. I added chicken to mine and used maybe a tablespoon of dressing as its flavor profile wasn't to my liking. The salad was decently balanced but lacked a crunchy profile (the mixture of sesame and sunflower nuts were too small/soft) and had a strong dill presence (plenty of dill mixed in). That's just personal preference though, as its beautiful to look at. The chicken was plentiful; little dry in the salad but still delicious. For someone who's trying to eat healthy, I would definitely suggest this to friends in the area as a good shared place to eat. Good selection of rice and protein bowls, along with a decent salad (only one choice but it's not bad), and the fried chicken sandwich is pretty great. For the price, it's good for the area and I think it's overall...
