Probably the best chinese meal we had in Chinatown. Good thing the place was empty when we got there for a late lunch, because then it got a bit crowded (and it was St Patrick Day, so the volume got up real quick…). Anyway, the location looks really old and “cozy” and this means two things: it has a really authentic vibe and it’s pretty dirty. Like, the chairs had some oil stains on the cushions and overall the place doesn’t look so great. The kitchen in sight (as well as some nude pipes on the ceiling) is pretty cool, cause you can see the kind old ladies at work. But I mean, again, everything is so real that we really didn’t mind. Of course the main thing is the food, and that was awesome. We took some fried pot sticks (simply addictive) and some noodles with vegetables. Everything was great and served with hot white tea. The lady who took our order was quiet and kind and the experience has been overall pretty great. The lunch was also cheap, about 20 dollars, but we didn’t have so much food because of our...

When we discovered this place we were attracted by live crabs in window over 27 years ago. We came from South Bay. I never thought my oldest son now lives and works in SF as a deputy sheriff. We tried to find Chinese food near our house as good as this place but always unsuccessful. Thanks Tony and Penny for being the best hostess on earth. The pork fried rice is so good we often battle over it. My daughter Salah and I have to be careful not to go there starving because we both have priors for biting our own tongues trying to wolf Down the rice🤪 so good!!! They stopped exhibiting the live crabs many years ago but we always still look forward to eating there when in SF. Thanks Snow Garden from Ezra and...

Came here for a pre-birthday meal of my favorites- eggplant, hofun and egg drop soup. There's nothing like asian comfort food (and portions were quite big for just two people!) You can probably tell I'm Chinese but if you're English speaking, this place has menu pictures and numbers for you too. Nothing fancy, just some food from all food groups here to fill you up. Also, the tea is complimentary! (I always thought that was the standard but coming to san Francisco, maybe not)

I'll definitely be coming back for whenever I get cravings for simple, msg...

Its been almost 3 years since I ate here on a trip, and I still dream on that delicious chicken curry. It was mouth-watering, it had the exact amount of spicy. The restaurant it's very small, they have at most 5 tables. Once you have a sit and hand you the menu the waiter also brings you a teapot with hot tea and some cups for free. The amount of food was much more than we expected, we actually bought 3 plates but at the end we couldn't eat the third. I hope some day I go back to San Francisco just to eat here!

Really great food. Don’t be fooled by the exterior, and it’s easy to miss this hole in the wall. This restaurant is a super authentic and offers HUGE portions of food. Debatably one of the last spots in SF where you can get a decent sized meal without having to spend $$$. I definitely recommend trying out the house specials here, the general chicken and Westlake soup are some of my favorites.
