Taqueria Castillo — Restaurant in San Francisco

Ordered a shrimp super burrito, a regular beef, and two sodas. Food was average nothing great. Service really stood out. My total was $27.10. After counting several times $28 i gave the cahier lady $28. After he counting several times apparently i gave her S27 or she miscounted. I offered to recount and of course pay missing balance. However that wasnt going to be an option with her as she frowned at me and ignored my attemps to resolve issue. Next i went outside untill food was finished. Thers no body but her 1 cook inside. Ileave both sodas. Upon re entering i see 1soda missung. After taking anew soda im rudely told not asked to pay for it. I explained the best i could being interruped and call both a lier and a thief . I asked many time to check the security tape. Again i was called certain degrading names in both English/Spanish. And they would check it even with zero customers.u Now i )will return here only to show that i have more morals than lying repeatedly over a dollar. I dont want refund only to show management this nights customer service was terrible. I wish this didnt happen but i feel she took the insult too far. We were looking to try a different taqueria and heard good things. Figured this was a good way to use the DoorDash gift card I got too. However, this is mainly a DoorDash based review. The burritos were tasty but not worth the $30+ extra of DoorDash fees. Also, although the picture of the Mexican Coke on DD says it's a 1L bottle, we received only a small single serving bottle which $5.60 seems excessive for that. Also, I don't know if its only for DD orders, but this is the only taqueria I've ordered from/eaten at that doesnt give chips and at the very least salsa with their burritos. So, our order of 2 Super Burritos and 1 Bean & Cheese Burrito and one bottle of Mexican Coke (no chips or salsa) cost over $60! It also came extremely cold, but actually reheating on the stove to give an extra dorado crisp was tasty but also a bummer to have to do when i was trying to avoid cooking tonight. All in all, yummy food, but do yourself a favor and avoid DoorDash and just go there to pick up. We’ll give them another chance next time we’re in that...

The food was good, but not above-average. The service was good but not above average. The facility is small and narrow, but this is fairly average in the city of San Francisco. I felt that even though the food was fairly good, it could have been little fresher and a little warmer. There were very few choices of salsa to have with the Limited at chips that are offered with a full meal. I would go there again, but only because it is convenient to other things I do in the area. I would recommend it to those who are looking for a fairly inexpensive meal and then otherwise expensive town. So in other words, the value for the dollar is...
