We chosen Boston Hotel due to its location: close to tourist attractions and city centre. However, its location is good and bad at the same time: there are lots of homeless people on the street, just outside the hotel (I didn't feel safe walking after the dusk). It's very miserable seeing all those poor and ill people on the streets.||||The hotel itself is clean and tidy. Access is though steep staircase. Shared bathroom (also clean). The corridor was a little bit creepy (looks like this one from "The Shining")- especially if you need to go to the bathroom at night. ||Our room was spacious and met all our expectations (we are not very demanding). You get what you pay for. ||||All in all, I would rate the hotel higher but due to its dodgy location I couldn't say it's stress-free...
Read moreBooked this through Booking.com, reviews were not bad. This was my first time in San Francisco so I wasn't familiar with good/bad areas. When our Uber driver saw where the hotel was, he didn't let us out when we arrived. We ended up going to another hotel in a different neighborhood. This hotel was in the middle of the district with drugged people. The street was full of tents and lines with homeless leople. We learned later this hotel books by hour. Do not recommend. The area around the hotel doesn't feel safe at all. I feel bad for people who lost everything they had due to life circumstances but these types of districts look like there is no goal to help people get out of this situation, only helping them to stay in...

What I liked about it though was its closeness to public transportation, the staff were extremely nice and I felt safe in my stay there. I’m going to be honest, if you want to save a few dollars then stay here, the homeless do not really bother you, they’re minding their own business. Would I stay here again? It wouldn’t be my first choice but if I’m on a budget then yes. You will share the restroom with the rest of the floor, rooms are smallish and bed was not bad. This is just enough needed if you’re not really planning on staying there the whole time but explore the...
