Chacho Sushi — Restaurant in San Francisco

I usually don’t write reviews, especially when I’m not sure about a restaurant’s consistency, but this place absolutely deserves it. The sushi here is phenomenal—I’ve had sushi in my home country, in San Francisco, and even at high-end Omakase restaurants, but the rolls here, especially the Warriors Roll, are honestly the best I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve ordered sushi from this place, and I’ve even recommended it to my roommate. The service is just as amazing as the food. The staff are attentive and genuinely kind—when I mentioned I didn’t want ice water, they immediately brought me a warm glass of water, which really made me feel cared for. Heard great things about this place so we had to try it! They have so many great looking items I was excited to try! We got in late but were still able to order. The nice lady taking our order was sweet & welcoming. I asked if it was family owed & she said yes :) which made us happy because we love supporting family owned businesses especially locally. The reason I am giving it a 4/5 instead of 5/5 was the attitude of the chef. After we ordered the lady let the chef know and he started yelling and started cleaning up but was upset slamming things, looking at us upset as if he was mad we placed an ordered. The server informed this place reopened 2 months ago. Attentive staff, clean restaurant, nice atmosphere, has options from affordable to the upper end. Options for DF and GF as most Japanese food does. The sushi was fresh and delicious and beautifully plated with an orchid flower. Great value for most combination plates with an average price $16.
