That's Amore SF — Restaurant in San Francisco

I finally tried this restaurant because it has great ratings and it’s closer to where I live. I’m frankly wildly disappointed. I ordered through DoorDash the filling items with my experience: pesto pasta (pesto is rather tasteless and have literally no flavor profile worth enjoying), garlic bread (tastes great but thin, flimsy and not worth the price. It’s the only way I could eat the pasta though), Caesar salad with grilled chicken (this honestly even smelled bad when I opened it and it made me think it was the chicken. Hot chicken on salad is gross to me but the chicken wasn’t great and the salad wasn’t fresh because there was a lot of browned leaves plus the croutons were tiny and almost not present), tiramisu (I haven’t tried this because there’s like a gross slimy film on the bottom of the container and I’m not sure I want to risk it?) and a chocolate cheesecake (this is a 3 out of 5 stars). For all these items combined through DoorDash this cost me nearly $100. A total waste of my money for food I found to be really really subpar for the price.

I remember back in the day when this place used to be a coffee shop before transitioning to a pizza spot. I have drove past here many times, but did not get a chance to try it out either because it was fully packed or parking was not the best. Finally the day has come, and I ordered through DoorDash. Their menu is simple, it consists of their specialty pizzas, you can build you own pizza, salads, starters, drinks and much more. All of their goods come from a wood fired oven, which gives it a touch of balanced smokiness on the crust. Everything is made to order which is a plus for me since I am a very patient person and I never mind the wait. When I received my order, the pizza was still hot like it has just came out the oven and all the topping held on pretty good. Lastly, this place is a plus in the neighborhood, because there are not many pizza/italian options within the area. I highly recommend this place to all pizza enthusiasts, anyone looking to try something new or if you want a laid back spot to enjoy some food and drinks. I’ve been coming to this place since I was in high school because my long-time friend, told us that she was working there. Our friends all celebrated by surprising her one day at work. We were greeted by hello’s and by the scent of freshly made pizza’s. We were seated quickly, given water to start, until we were ready to order our drinks and pizza. The staff were amazing, trying to get to know us… Fast forward, I’ve been going here since high school, we come to That’s Amore to celebrate, catch up, relive memories, go on dates, and introduce new and old friends because the atmosphere is so homey and welcoming.
