During my recent visit to The Hungry Spot, I had the pleasure of indulging in their garlic Parmesan chicken wings and Greek salad, and I must say, it was a culinary experience worth raving about. The garlic Parmesan chicken wings were a revelation. Perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, each bite was a delightful blend of flavors. The rich, buttery Parmesan complemented the robust garlic notes beautifully, creating a savory sensation that left my taste buds dancing with joy. The wings were generously coated, ensuring that every morsel was packed with flavor. It's clear that great care was taken in their preparation, resulting in wings that are nothing short of perfection. Accompanying the wings was a refreshing Greek salad that provided the perfect balance to the rich flavors of the chicken. The salad was a vibrant medley of fresh ingredients: crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, crunchy cucumbers, and tangy red onions, all tossed in a light, zesty dressing. The feta cheese added a creamy texture, while the olives gave a delightful briny punch. Every bite was a harmonious blend of textures and tastes, making it a standout dish in its own right. The exceptional food was only matched by the phenomenal customer service at The Hungry Spot. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a friendly atmosphere. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about providing an excellent dining experience. They went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my meal was perfect, making me feel like a valued guest. In summary, my dining experience at The Hungry Spot was truly remarkable. The garlic Parmesan chicken wings and Greek salad were outstanding, each dish crafted with care and bursting with flavor. The customer service was exemplary, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking delicious food and outstanding service.

We happen upon this place by chance and couldn’t have been more lucky! The sandwiches were outstanding- we had the smoked turkey brisket which was so unique and divine- I couldn’t believe it was Turkey, the mistress- a fresh, delicious vegetarian sandwich, and a chicken pesto avocado sandwich which was absolutely perfect. The quality of ingredients at this restaurant was evident in the flavor. All the components seem to be made from scratch. Even the bread was very unique- soft but still had substance. The cherry on top for me was the amazing owner, Katarina, who made us feel at home instantly. She was warm and funny, and had so much personality. She kept sending out random menu items for us to taste, I was stuffed but couldn’t resist the lazy pizza… it was like being at an old friends home. I didn’t want to leave. But when I come back The Hungry Spot will be one of my first stops. Thank you for a special experience. - signed, one of the “ladies in white” lol

Then he said ..we'll go over to The Hungry Spot to clear our senses with a meatball sandwich! My old pal Ringo Lasater just got back from Hanoi, and he brought back a few Durian fruit, and wanted me to experience the thing. He said it was to aromatic to cut open in his flat because it would stink up the entire building, so we walked one over to the park and cut it open there. WOW! The stench of rotting meat was almost overpowering, but being a huge fan of moldy cheeses including Limburger, I was all in! The texture and flavors were Amazingly delicious, but my sinuses were melting away, so the wonderful Meatball sandwich from The Hungry Spot truly hit the spot! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

My friend and I were looking for a place to eat before our candlelight orchestra at St. Ignatius last night (12/5/24) and we happened to come across The Hungry Spot. We were instantly greeted with smiles by the owner, telling us to sit and take our time ordering. She was so nice, asking us about our evening and about our work and I felt like she was genuinely interested in getting to know us/her customers. It’s not often that happens nowadays. Service: 11/10

My friend ordered the chicken pesto sandwich which looked absolutely amazing. Full of meat and other fresh ingredients and a modest serving of chips on the side. She could only get through half but mentioned she couldn’t wait to have the other half later.

I ordered the meatballs and cheesy pesto garlic bread. My goodness! There were two large meatballs in a hot bubbling cheesy delicious marinara sauce. The meatballs were seasoned perfectly and reminiscent of my Italian grandma’s homemade meatballs. It made me miss her. The garlic bread was on Dutch Crunch (my favorite) toasted perfectly, ooey gooey cheesy goodness. I saved half of everything so I could enjoy it for lunch today.

Food: 10/10

The Hungry Spot is tiny, clean, friendly and a neighborhood gem. You’re bound to have tasty food with portions big enough for a second meal and you’ll most likely make a friend in the owner while there. I would definitely visit again, maybe this time for a sandwich or salad.

Atmosphere: a...
