Wahib's Mediterranean Express — Restaurant in San Gabriel

THIS PLACE DESERVES A WRAP AROUND LINE OF CUSTOMERS! First, I have been looking for authentic, homemade Knafeh (traditional Arabic dessert, made with spun pastry called kataifi,soaked in a sweet, sugar-based syrup called attar, and typically layered with cheese, or with other ingredients such as clotted cream, pistachio or nuts, depending on the region. It is popular in the Middle East) and boy when I googled searched, Wahib’s was the first option, I called and the young lady informed me she had just made a fresh batch today and I had her put on hold (3) of them. I am writing this review at 9:37pm and I will certainly call and pick up another (4) this week without a doubt. The staff make it homemade at the location and it is absolutely the BEST OF THE BEST! Mind you my partner and I went just for the chocolates but when we smelled the food being prepared we decided to give it a chance and be honest as most of Mediterranean food we’ve tried have not made us go for seconds but Wahib’s Beef Kebob plate made to order was finger licking good. We requested medium rare and no exaggeration the meat melted in my mouth of how tender and it packed a punch with flavor. Hummus was perfectly smooth, rice was flavorful and salad dressing was delicious! It certainly left an impression. The only negative issue I have is the fact we do not have this establishment in the state we live in! Come give this family owned business a try it...

My first time here ordering for lunch and it did take a little bit for the food to buzz ready but I realized it’s bc it was all freshly made to order!

As this is low key casual setting, you order at the counter and you sit anywhere inside Blossom Market Hall or outside and bus your own trays.

The FOOD was delicious! I ordered the COMBO FOR 2 for $30. It came with rice, salad, pita, hummus- it was definitely more than enough food for 2 :)

The CHICKEN was surprisingly NOT dry and over grilled bc it was actually very tender and juicy. The BEEF was great too and the slices were nicely sliced for easy consumption.
