Ok so this was our second time here! The first time we were here was fir the brunch... we did get there kind of late but they still had plenty of food. I thought the food was ok, but I said we would have to come again for their regular dinner and today was that day! The decor and feel of the place I love... the service was good.... but when it comes to the food, I was very disappointed! We ordered the Jalapeño Poppers (big fan of them) but these were ridiculous! It wasn’t even a whole jalapeño and the cream cheese as well very little in them! A disappointment! I do however love their chips and salsa!!! That was the only reason why I said to give it another try! I ordered the chicken enchiladas one mole and one green...but before that came a soup ( I ordered the albondigas) what a major major disappointment! Nothing like real albondigas! They lacked flavor and the meat balls I truly don’t know what they were thinking! Albondigas are supposed to be full of flavor, you can smell them and these I just don’t know. So I went back to the chips and salsa. When our plates got to the table, the presentation I must say were very nice and appealing but the taste was missing. The chicken was extremely salty, the Chile verde lacked the flavor of the tomatillo and the taste of Chile verde! The burrito was just as bad! I really want to like this place but for a second chance they didn’t cut the deal. I did hear someone say that they’ve only gotten the Chile relleno’s so I think the third time will be a charm. I will go back again just because I enjoyed the chips n salsa very much and I will try their chile rellenos... just being honest and hoping those will...
Read moreEmilio's Restaurant in Hemet, California, is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
One of the first things I noticed and appreciated about Emilio's is the abundance of parking available. It's so convenient not to have to worry about circling the block to find a spot.
Now, let's talk about their margaritas. Emilio's serves up pitchers of margaritas that are to die for! They're perfect for sharing with friends and add a fun, festive element to your dining experience.
But it's not just the drinks that shine here; the food is equally impressive. What's truly remarkable is that the quality is outstanding, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. Whether you're in the mood for traditional Mexican cuisine or looking to explore something new, Emilio's menu has something for everyone.
What sets Emilio's apart, though, is their fantastic staff. They are not only friendly and attentive but also have a knack for remembering their regulars. It's like being part of a big, extended family when you dine here.
In summary, Emilio's Restaurant is a must-visit in Hemet, California. The nice atmosphere, ample parking, delicious margaritas, tasty and affordable food, and a staff that treats you like a regular from day one make it a dining experience you won't want to miss. I'll definitely be coming...

Decor: someone decided to open a Mexican restaurant and said "hmmm what do think of when I think of mexican food...brown!" Everything is brown the floors, walls, ceilings, diffusers, fans, wall, decor, menus, bowls, salsa, cups, tables, chairs ect... Also crosses everywhere kinda creepy...and yes many brown crosses lol Made me laugh but should have been my first red flag.
Drinks: First time I've been to a Mexican restaurant of this size with no beer on tap only bottles. Wife had the saltiest michelada she's ever have. She couldn't even finish it. Definitely not normal for her lol.
Food: The blandest Mexican food I have ever tasted, Chile Verde burrito was literally unseasoned pork with a watered down green sauce. Enchiladas was bland chicken with watered down version of the salsa we got with the chips. Salsa given with the chips was basically pregos ketchup. Beans 100% from a can they bought at the dollar store. Rice bad, weird after taste.
Hemet has a bunch of great Mexican food, it's sort of shocking this place can survive. Maybe they cook for people who have crippling heart burn and stomach issues and can't eat anything with flavor?
