The food was good. However, what I don't like is that they charge a 3% fee for debit cards. Also, the fee does not show up on your receipt, which is illegal. The reason that you didn't see the fee on your receipt is because that money goes directly to Top Grill! If the fee shows up on the receipt, it would put this establishment in a higher tax bracket. The fee you pay is going directly to top grill. This is why it is not printed on your receipt. This is totally illegal. The bank does not charge them a fee if so many transactions are completed for the day. Stop paying fees to eat at an establishment that charges you a fee! 3% fee can be high depending on what you order. Let me put it in perspective for you. So, if you are feeding a family of, let's say, 4ppl, and each item is price at $10.99 each person plus tax. Your fee would be around 3% on the entire total. Which would be about $52.71. 3% fee on this order would be about $1.60. This is not okay! Stop supporting business in your community that is charging these fees. You should be able to pay anyway you want as long as they have the logo that is on the back of your card or tap pay. Further, I'm not telling you not to eat at top grill, I telling you to hold your favorite restaurant or establishment where you eat accountable. I will file a report of practice with the state of California and the city of San jacinto for allowing businesses to practice this illegal act in our community. As a community, we support these small businesses, and this is how they repay us. Not okay. If you love top grill and don't care about fees. I ask you to figure out the fees you pay on your card for the month you will be surprised! Don't allow any business in your community to charge you a fee when you are already patronizing their business. If you know that a business will charge you a fee, get cash before going. You may report any business that is charging fees in your community directly to me. I will see that this is changed or we will get a permit to protest these establishments. I am all about honest business practice. I have done this work for over 30 years....
Read moreIt's been crazy hot lately, (even for here) so a lighter lunch sounded pretty attractive. And with my youngest daughter and visiting mother both being vegetarians, the options were limited. So when my oldest daughter suggested Top Grill, we all quickly agreed. I grew up in L.A. loving Yoshinoya so I was looking forward to a rice bowl. Unfortunately, I wasn't the only one. We show up right around the lunch rush and the line was almost out the door and there was nowhere to sit. But a crowded restaurant is a good sign, so we ordered anyway, hoping the place might clear out by the time our food was ready. There was the expected amount of sand people trying to stay cool, and ine was kind enough to trade his larger table for our smaller one. The staff was friendly, but very busy, and they kept the line moving quickly. They were also kind enough to bring the food to our table. We order a salmon rice bowl, a tofu bowl, a chicken beef and veggie bowl and a chicken beef and veggie bowl with brown rice. It was a little expensive, at around 45 bucks, but capitalism gonna capitalize. The food was good, both the chicken and the beef as well as the nutty brown rice. The veggies were welcome but a little lackluster, but the extra sauces made everything tasty. So, it was good, fairly healthy and I liked it, but if I come again, I'd probably just...
Read moreAlthough we waited a bit for our food, it was well worth the wait. They made it with love, because the food was on point. It smelled great. I got number 19, the chicken and steak plate. It was delicious and that sauce that's sweet and spicy was brilliant. I also got a Boba milk tea, which hit the spot. Definitely would recommend this place instead of wabba grill.
Update 10/10/24 I tried the salmon bowl, chciken bowl, shrimp bowl and steak bowl.
Chicken bowl is top tier. Then it's the salmon or shrimp they are both so delicious. Last would be the steak bowl. Better quality meat would move this higher on my list. We go once or twice a week to eat...
