Came here on Sunday, and a lot has changed since I've been here last.
No more kiosks, and now you order via a paper menu, which is no longer readable, lol.. They charge you extra 3% for CC use, which will be banned by CA starting next week! I could barely understand what the cashier was saying, he had to repeat himself like 5 times, and they ran out of many items, like usual..
Only 5 tables, and our family of 8 had to share 2 tiny tables, not enough booster chairs either, and half way through our meal, we find out that the 2 employees, are hogging a whole table on their own with their laptops and belongings, instead of providing it for customers. What a joke of customer service, plus they don't wash hands there once our whole time dining, and its a open kitchen and we saw them make multiple orders and re-use the same gloves. The cashier literrally touches cash, he goes back and re-uses his blue gloves, from previous order, no washing hands and they pick their bread, from a black container lying on the freaking floor with lid open... DISGUSTING!
The food, is ok, the beef stew comes microwaved in a plastic cup, and tasted bland on top of it, and the coffee was watered down as well. Wife and kids, said the banh mi was decent, but chewy bread, and different from a few months ago.
There is free parking in the back, but is riddled with trash bags, and trash in general, which means theres prob rats and rodents.. First sign we look for in a clean restaurant. Also bathroom looks like it hasnt been cleaned in ages..
You can tell management here does not care, and employees do what they want and it's unfortunate, No wonder it was so slow here...
Read moreThe food and variety are fine and the interior is fairly clean. Unfortunately service time is extremely inconsistent.
I've been here a handful of times. Sometimes the wait time is fine, taking no longer than 10 minutes. Other times the wait time is extremely long if the place is understaffed, with my order today having a 45 minute wait time.
The place was understaffed today (3/22/23) and only had one person behind the counter, who was working with zero urgency. What made it worse was when customers kept stopping her to check on the status of their orders, meaning work behind the counter was halted.
Eventually the worker started asking us for receipts so she could do our orders. Some people didn't get a receipt because the self-serve register they used was out of paper, which one person had to tell her multiple times as she asked him multiple times for a receipt. Again, this halted work behind the counter and made the wait time longer.
After 45 minutes, my order was finally ready and it was fine; nothing spectacular.
Before ordering from here, I would check to see how many people are behind the counter. If there's only one person, go somewhere else. Otherwise, order online (which may still take...
Read moreOrdered one beef stew for pick-up through Uber eats and when the app said its ready, I went to the store, only to find out they did not even have the item available and the only staff who can’t speak nor understand English just said “cancel, cancel” to me (which I can’t simply do on Uber eats because I would still get charged) and then completely ignored me. It’s a complete waste of 1 hr in my life to deal with this and then Uber eats. For the restaurant owner - at least have someone who can speak English on-site to handle such situations. And train your employees right. If the items are not available and you know it, DO NOT accept the order in the beginning.
Have also had other terrible pick-up experiences just like what the recent comments are saying, so I won’t repeat one more time here.
You will lose your customers because of terrible customer experience like this, no matter how good the foods taste, which at the end of the day, are just banh mi and beef...
