Let’s start with ordering, you place order yourself, not a big deal. But if you’re ordering multiple bowls of pho, you can only get 1 hoisin and 1 Siracha sauce for free. They charge extra for more sauce but it makes no sense. For example, I ordered 2 bowls of pho tonight but could only placed 1 order of sauce for free.
The pho is about $20-25 with tax and tips. I got the filet mignon, brisket, and meatball combo and boyfriend got the smoked brisket bowl. The soup was on the sweeter side, I had to squeeze in 2 wedges of lime to try to balance the soup. However, I think the sweetness of the soup is an attempt to balance out the salty bbq meat. Good amount of noodles but the noodles are over cooked, fall apart within 20 mins. The meat portion is good but my filet and briskets were so thinly sliced… I honestly could not tell the difference. You can taste the fat layer on the soup, some people will like that.
They charge you $2 per bottle of Kirkland water, fine, not a big deal. But then we saw the server bring out water cups for the table next to us… ? Where was that option for us?
The floor is extremely slippery, not from the rain but it’s the floor. Super uncomfortable to walk around and the high top table and chairs move easily because of that.
I think it’s much better if they have a water spot for customers to get their own water, then it would be better and more environmentally friendly. Have a sauce station where customers can grab the bottle of sauces that they need. And make the floor less slippery.
It was good to try it, but I won’t be coming back. The idea of the fusion foods is great but not...
Read moreSmoked brisket pho was excellent, and the broth was smoky too. IMO, hoisin and sriracha would be lost in this dish. Got some, but did not use it…
Way larger and meatier than any pho you might be used to. Could easily feed 2 people, especially if you also order a banh mi. I’d recommend making a smaller size available because $24 for pho is pretty pricey. Maybe 1 less slab of brisket and less noodles for $16?
Ambiance is decidedly meh. Orange metal tables and chairs. Easy to clean, but not too comfortable. Also, music was so loud it was hard to have a conversation, but they were accommodating and turned it down a bit when we asked.
Plenty of pictures available online, so I won’t add more, but my brisket definitely had a smaller smoke ring than shown in the...
