I'm writing this review mostly because I experienced a theft at this cafe. I preface this when I say the overall staff on site was good in helping me by loaning me their phones and some were even concerned and tried to help me.

The reason for the 2 stars is because the of the owner (Lisa) reaction when I told her on the phone that another customer had taken my phone/wallet out of the bathroom where I had left it less than a minute before. I had asked if I could see the video footage of me leaving the bathroom area (not in the bathroom) and who walked in directly after me. Rather than having any concern that her establishment created an unsafe space for me, she became defensive for the person who stole my wallet. I'm not sure why she took this stance rather than providing empathy about my loss of security. I wish she had handled it better and acknowledged that I had been compromised in her place of business. Rather she did not want to give me her contact information or provide any verbal assurance for support. I think this really is a testimate to her character. I don't think I will ever meet her but it does make me wary of going there again.

It was fortunate that a police car pulled up right as this happened and I was able to file a report right away, lock my phone and put a hold on my cards.

At the end of the day the police did find my phone in the trash with credit cards still there. Cash was taken but I'm not sore about it.

I just caution anyone who goes in here to watch out for themselves. The owners will not protect you or support you.

As for the tea. It was ok. Not the best in world but I'm sure you can see this in...

Located pretty squarely in downtown San Jose, it's got a decent variety of teas, coffees, and snacks!

I'll be perfectly honest, their fruit teas and non-milk teas are better (in my opinion) than their milk tea. I've tried the frutti tutti and the twilight delight, but I've also gotten cheese foam and the okinawa milk tea. The fruit teas are far superior. The bits of fruit and boba that are in the milk tea perfectly compliment the right amount of sweetness they use plus the "extras" they put in are never soggy or chewy, like some tea places I've been to that have had those bits sitting out all day.

The milk teas, at least in my experience, are not as well balanced and taste more watery to me than the fruit ones (and I always get the same amount of ice and sweetener). Maybe I need to get less ice or more sweet in my milk teas? However, I've come here with my coworkers and they've always enjoyed their boba! One coworker swears by their Taro tea.

As for the cheese foam, it's okay. It tastes a little bit like a lassi (regular, not mango lol) and it's got a decent taste, but it's so mild that it doesn't add much to the tea. I've preferred the foam products from Gong Cha or Happy Lemon more.

As for snacks, I've only ever gotten the souffle cheesecake. It was $6.50 and very eggy, so I don't know. It was just okay for me. I don't think it was worth the price though.

As for service, everyone has always been nice and work as quickly as possible.

Overall, I'll definitely be back and I...

"The best boba place near SJSU, though it might not reach S-tier milk tea quality, it's certainly good enough for a pick-me-up. Conveniently located close to campus, right across from MLK, and reasonably priced. Both the food and drinks are solid, and they offer free Wi-Fi.

Service is typically efficient; the longest I've waited for an order is 12-15 minutes, mainly because I always order fries, which take a bit longer. Here are my ratings:

Passion Fruit Green Tea: 5/5 My go-to drink! It tastes the same as anywhere else I've had it. I usually go for 75% sweetness and less ice. If you enjoy passionfruit and sweet teas, it's definitely worth a try.

Curly Fries: 5/5 These fries are unexpectedly amazing. They're perhaps the best snack on the menu. They have a fantastic aroma and are always served piping hot. The crunch and flavor are outstanding, and the portions are generous, making them perfect for sharing. Highly recommended.

Popcorn Chicken: 5/5 The popcorn chicken is typically dusted in Cajun spice, but I ordered mine without spice due to my low tolerance for heat. It comes with a side of sauce. The crunch is delightful, and the taste is decent overall. It's a filling option and great for sharing, though I personally prefer the fries.

In summary, this is a fantastic spot to grab a snack and hang out. I wholeheartedly...

Been a regular customer at this place for years. Their drinks are good, their food is good. The only downsides are whenever you order food, it would take much longer than if you order drinks so just keep that in mind. There are also random rush hours around 2PM on weekdays since that's when a lot of students get out of classes and stop by to get a drink. I've tried most of their food items, i would say the mozarella cheese sticks, popcorn chicken, and lobster balls stood out to me the most. In the picture I have the Teriyaki Salmon on Rice (first food item on menu) and mango milk tea with crystal boba. This rice bowl actually blew my mind away because it's such a good option for when you don't know what to eat for lunch but want something to get near SJSU area, portion and price are both reasonable. As for takoyaki in the video, they're ok - I've had better ones from T4 sorry. Their drinks are not EXCELLENT but they are good throughout and I wouldn't have to worry about trying a new drink and getting disappointed here. Still decided to give 5 stars because of their consistency, never had a time where I was super disappointed by either customer service or the quality of food & drinks.

I came here with some friends a few weeks ago and I think this might be one of the best places to grab boba if you're a student near this area. The ambience is great. The interior is quite aesthetic and the workers are friendly. The takoyaki is great and decently priced. Crispy on the outside and delightfully gooey on the inside, the takoyaki is the perfect after school snack. I highly recommend it. I also thought the tea was great and the ratio of tea and toppings was good. One thing I would critique them on is probably how fast they put out the food and drinks. A friend ordered after me and although we both ordered the same drink albeit different toppings, hers took longer to come out. It wasn't that long of a wait, but I felt bad my friend had to wait for a while everyone else already got their drinks, including me who ordered the same thing as her. Update: I have come back multiple times over the years and the quality has gone down but the prices have increased. Still a decent place. But definitely overpriced.
