Small but efficient restaurant (think of Chipotle except more Veggie choices). Salmon, Rockfish, Swai & other fish. Grilled, Fried (good reviews), Fish Tacos. i will return to try Grill Salmon. Dad ordered Salmon Tacos with 2 sides 13.99. Free Sides Rice, Pinto Beans,Zucchini,Kale. Other sides .99 extra small Salad, 2.50 Brussels Sprouts, Sweet Potato Fries 2.50, & Asparagus 2.99. If you order the Sides separate (Dad did) you pay 5.75 for Brussel sprouts....2.99 for small salad. This is good deal because Dad is used to paying $12-$15 dollars for veggies at Asian places. Anyhow, if you order the sides as combo, the sides are cheaper than pay separate. I do hope they improve the Beans as Dad chose 2 sides as Beans & both were soupy ( soupy Beans) having less beans each ( so I hope they improve on this). The only complaint is the expensive Sodas were free but pretty sweet ( I assume most people like Craft Soda but I found to be Sweet). They do have lukewarm unsweeten Black Tea & also Hibiscus less sweet. They have ice machine but we went on Hot Sunday so they ran low on ice. If you go on busy day bring your own ice in case run out? The Soda is free if you get combo. i plan to return to get Grill Salmon (choose other flavour, not just Cajun) & Brussel Sprout (roasted).. The Grilled Prices are cheaper than Pacific Catch. Overall cheaper than the Chinese places my Dad frequents. Best part is Service was fast & good & they dont pressure you to tip like the Asian places...
Read moreCalifornia Fish Grill is one of my favorite places to enjoy fresh, delicious seafood. The food is consistently great—perfectly cooked fish, flavorful sides, and always served hot. But what really makes this location special is the incredible team.
Daniel, Norma, and Carlos are outstanding! They go out of their way to make every visit welcoming and enjoyable. Daniel always greets us with a smile and ensures our order is just right. Norma is attentive, friendly, and makes you feel like a valued guest every time. And Carlos is quick, efficient, and so personable—he brings such positive energy to the experience.
It’s rare to find a team that works so seamlessly together while also making customers feel at home. Because of them, I always look forward to coming back. Huge thanks to Daniel, Norma, and Carlos for making California Fish Grill more than just a meal—it’s a true...
Read moreIt didn’t give me food poisoning, so it’s not one star, but the food was both bad and mislabeled - the “garlic butter” for example is some sort of dense white sauce, I think mayonnaise-based, which probably has garlic in it - I’m not sure about butter. I asked what was in the brussel sprouts, and was told olive oil and parsley. They failed to mention large amounts of cheese, which makes a really big difference both nutritionally and in terms of dietary restrictions (and did not help the taste, but the main problem there was them putting the horrible not-garlic-butter on it). We also tried the clam chowder, which was mediocre, and the zucchini (ditto). My advice: find somewhere else. The Bay Area is short on good fish places, but there are definitely ones...
