To Costco insiders, this Costco at Almaden Expressway is known as the million dollar Costco. It has a high volume, lodyal shoppers, and specialty items. A nice thing about Costco is that the management has some say over what products it sells. This Costco has lots of high-end items and considerably more organic items than I found at other Costco's. For instance, this Costco always carries organic broccoli florets where as other Costco's just have the regular broccoli. The high volume at this Costco assures that the items like milk, strawberries, and bananas are always fresh, although the same high volume can mean that these items are gone near closing time. Unlike other Costco's that are like islands to themselves, this Costco is nested in a shopping center with lots of other stores easy at reach. The upside is that I get all kinds of shopping done with one trip. The downside is that parking can be tight, especially on weekends and peak hours. Like all Costco's the staff here are excellent! Friendly and upbeat. One person even remembered the details of assistance I had to ask for regarding my mother with Alzheimer's over one year later. Now that's excellent service!

Horrible customer service! Me and my family recently relocated to the USA and we shop primarily at whole foods. Our friends recommended Costco so we wanted to get the most basic membership, to try it out. When we came to this location everything was nice in the beginning but then when we insisted that we didnt want the upgraded membership everything went downhill. We were serviced by Martha J. And it was horrible! She kept insisting that we should get the upgraded membership even though we knew what we wanted. After a while it turned into an argument and she insisted we tell her why we didn't want that membership after we already explained it. She just kept on wasting our time and just arguing instead for doing her job. I understand that they need to sell them but if a customer doesn't want it and said so multiple times, insisting after that is just bad service. Never returning to that location again and I don't recommend it! That interaction ruined my day when initially i just came in with my family to try Costco out and was very excited.
