We went today for a Disneyland trivia event. The trivia event was fine. The cost was reasonable and we had a good time. The main issue was the food and the service.

I'll start with the drinks: we ordered one Cabo Cooler and one Hella Hawaiian. The Cabo Cooler was supposed to have muddled cucumbers and lime juice. All it had was a cucumber slices and a lime wedge. It was an entire glass of straight tequila. The drink was terrible and the bartender was lazy. The Hella Hawaiian was a watered down mess. I am sure these drinks work on the normal soused crowd but Britannia Arms and the bartender should be ashamed. Maybe a college town is where you'd find this quality of drinks.

Now to the food: the kids meals were fine, chicken fingers and fried fish. Good portions for kids. We also ordered the grilled cheese, which came out burnt. Way beyond toasted. We could scrape the carbon off. We also got the patty melt that included the smallest burger patty I've ever seen. Like the kind of patty you'd find in a single $1 cheeseburger at McDonalds. The grilled onions were still slightly raw and it was missing the 1000 island dressing. Very disappointing for $14 and $16 dollars. The prices are out of control for what you get. This was about 2x what the price should be.

The service was fast but the servers are clueless. If a table is playing trivia and in the middle of answering a question, maybe interrupting them to take their order or deliver food is not the right time.

Overall, really poor since we were last here for trivia. Since the answering is on your phone, I'd honestly prefer their old COVID format of playing at home. At least you'd get something...

I’ve been here twice. Food is pretty much “bar food”, so don’t have high expectations. I knew it’s not going the best meal ever….!!! Of course combine that with British culinary and you know you’re not eating anything special. The bangers are usually the ordinary sausage and chips are potato fries. Last time I had the stake and kidney which I regret ordering it. This time I thought I’ll try something else. I didn’t have the Shepherds pie but I’ve heard from others it’s not that great. We ordered four different meals. The stake sandwich looked ok. The Cornish pastie was super dry and we had to ask for extra Garvey and that didn’t help either. Same thing with the chicken pot pie it was too dry. The side veggies were steamed. I usually pick on my family’s dishes when there’s veggies but these looked nothing appetizing so I didn’t even bother tasting them. I ordered the Patti melt which I think it was the most better looking of all four meals and yet not the best Patti melt out there. The Patti was much smaller than the rye bred and the bread was somewhat to the burned side and greasy. I ordered a side salad but the lettuce was old and turning yellowish red around the edges. I ate my food because I was hungry but I don’t think I would order food at this place again. If it wasn’t for my family, I would r even go there again. Service was very slow but the waitress was new and she apologized for being new and not familiar...

Britainia Arms Almaden is the ultimate neighborhood hangout spot, where every night feels like a celebration. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a lively atmosphere, incredible food, and a staff that’s as charming as they are attentive. The servers are stunning, with warm smiles and personalities that make you feel right at home. And let’s not forget the bartenders—these folks know their craft and serve up drinks with flair, always ready with recommendations to match your mood or suggest one of their stellar drink specials.

The food? Absolutely delicious. The Brit Almaden takes classic pub fare to another level, with every dish prepared to perfection. It’s easy to tell that quality is a priority here, as each bite feels like a little indulgence.

What really sets The Brit Almaden apart, though, are the events. There’s always something going on to keep things fresh and fun, from trivia nights that test your wits to karaoke that lets you be the star. And if live music is your scene, you’re in luck—bands take the stage regularly, adding to the vibrant energy.

Whether you’re here to catch up with friends or meet new faces, you’ll always find good company and a welcoming vibe. The Brit Almaden is more than just a bar; it’s a place where people come together for memorable nights, laughter, and a...

First first time ever going here just came to get a quick drink the inside was super nice very clean very spacious I really like the bar they had a huge selection of draft beers bottle beers already canned beers and plenty of alcohol bottles bartender was pretty chill servicing pretty nice cook seemed pretty nice I didn't order food I looked at the food online and the pictures didn't look that satisfying I've never heard of British food my my rule is if I haven't heard of people talking about it .must not be that good but hey maybe I'm wrong besides that it was a nice place three drinks for 20 bucks not too bad I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're driving by on the freeway or live in the area

If you're looking for British food, this is the place. Don't misunderstand, they have salads and burgers but they have pretty traditional British fare. Bangers and mash, mushy peas, HP sauce, curry, pasties, some pretty authentic fish and chips with a choice of shoestring instead of chips and haddock instead of cod. And a great selection of American and international craft beers on tap and on draft. Boddingtons in a can but it's almost as good as draft. A bit expensive but overall worth it. And activities in the evenings.. Trivia some nights, live music others
