La Victoria Taqueria — Restaurant in San Jose

WARNING: DO NOT COME HERE! My experience tonight left me in disbelief. I was served a cold taco. I took a first bite and knew right away it was cold. I told the ladies in the front if they can make a new one. They took the taco, but gave me a look like they knew something was going to be wrong. I walked back to sit down. My girlfriend with me knew something was wrong because she seen the lady talking back and forth with the cook. 10 mins later she came to say, 'the cook is refusing to make another taco for you'. My mouth instantly dropped and I immediately asked for the manager. She then smiled and said I am the manager. She explained saying the cooks are like that here. They make their own calls. Basically they were offended that I asked for another taco. She cussed and explained saying they don't fu*kin listen. My mouth was on the floor as she conitioned saying this has been an issue for awhile. I walked out as my girlfriend was getting the information to the franchised owner. Well at least that's what I thought. Turns out the lady didn't even know that information and she admitted she wasn't even a manager. So there was no head manager that evening. It's the reason why these guys think they can say who they want to serve. I have tryed to get a hold of a supiorior beyond these low class workers that doesn't know the meaning of customer service. I will not stop till I reach the owner. This can't be allowed! Please save your money and time. Because all it takes, is something small like cold food to go wrong. I will spread the word and never return to this...

Been eating here along time always open late great for after work & hungry! Also next to Walmart off 85 & Almaden so convenient when I also need to shop plus Safeway open 24/7 across the street & the new Bass Pro Shop I here is beautiful decor to show children & a lounge for drinks & visiting adults with lots more in that new center. La Victoria very nice usually loud due to the Brit Bar/lounge pub next door & mixed crowd young adults & older Lol! I'm usually there late night so u see alot of tipsy people. Yogurt Land next door for dessert & Nick The Greek Super Great Food & atmosphere. La Victorias I love super corn quesaddelas with carnitas fresh avocado cilantro a squirt of lime & orange sauce but that's my version, best of all less than $3 & big I can only eat 1 or 2 if I'm really hungry. Had a problem with cook Leo once but owner is very nice gave me his personal cell # had a talk with that cook & said if he ever gives me attitude again just call him, happy to say Leo cleaned it up & really is a great cook. Service is usually pretty fast especially considering how packed the place usually is. Well there U have it check out La Victorias & everything else around there a great spot with alot more than I could mention here & even a classic car wash next door if I go during daytime....

I rated this place 5 stars a few months ago but because I had a really horrible experience, I'm giving it 1 star (Still 5 stars for food. 1 for service).

I called in an order and the lady told me that I can pick it up in 10 minutes. I got there and the guy that was serving everyone told me that my order is still being made. So I waited for another 15 minutes. Asked the same guy if my order was ready considering I was order #20 and orders were up to #35 by now. He looked for my order slip and found it on the window (not clipped on that rotating thing where they clip all their orders). He said, "oh, this is a phone-in order." I said, "yes." He said we didn't make it because we don't want the nachos to get soggy (which I understand). What irritated me was that he didn't thoroughly check my order and just gave me a blanket statement saying that my order was still being prepped. I've never experienced this kind of service from La Victoria before and maybe, the the off chance, this was just one bad apple.

La Victoria: Please train your workers to take care of your customers. At least, advice them about the process before they hang...
