The absolutely most sus and sketchy motel I have ever experienced. Walking in I saw red flags pop up everywhere. 1st off the exterior of it is something out of breaking bad as is the neighborhood which consists of boarded up houses and liquor stores with bums and addicts scattered about. As i went to the front to check it i saw some interesting people to say the least. The front door has a sign on it that says to ring a bell and the desk manager came and unlocked it. I walked in with my 11 year old brother and mom and she started to check in and as my brother and i were waiting, a crystal meth addict with scabs all over his face and arms and what i can only assume was blood on his shirt (no joke 100% true)went up to the door and pulled and banged on it. It was the most terrifying experience of my life. The desk manager tried to shoo him away so we wouldnt get scared but the damage was already done. After we checked in we walked out and a strange man was standing in a corner about 100ft away from us kind of just staring at the ground. There was also construction going on in one of the rooms which was most likely cover for the disposal of bodies. So we went to our room with haste and got in to what was suprisingly a nice and whatat looked clean room. However, upon further investigation, the flaws of the room manifested. To start there was no phone to call the front desk which is strange for 2016. Secondly the instant i sat on the bed i felt itchy for some reason. Also there is no peephole which is pretty scary. Then we saw the meth guy pacing back and forth in the front from our window. And lastly, the front door had kick marks all over it so i can only imagine what has occurred in that room in the past. Fearing for our safety, my mom told us we were going to another hotel. So we got our stuff and left and told the manager we were leaving. Bottom line is dont stay here if you enjoy life and don't want your day or week for that...
Read moreIt didn't look very appealing from the outside. The exterior looks more like a motel 6 than a luxury hotel. Once inside I was informed that the lobby is under construction. The room was very nice. It appeared to be newly remodeled and clean. A large TV in the main room and a smaller on on the wall by the bathroom and vanity was a nice touch. Under building parking to keep the car out of the sum during the day was a nice touch and walking distance to the downtown area. So I would say all in all it was a nice experience other than the bed spread stained with something. I also did not like the refundable deposit which was requires. If someone is going to pay to stay in a 4 star hotel I would think they fee would be unnecessary or ar least since you have my card info you would bill me afterward. Now I am in a situation where I have to wait for my money back. For this reason alone, I won't stay...
Read moreStayed in a new remodeled room on 3rd floor; spacious and clean and overall very nice. Power- & USB outlets at bedside. Some minor traffic noise from the street in the morning (Wed), but not more than expected from the location. Very friendly folks (seems to be family owned). I would certainly stay here again.
[March 15, 2017: When I left I asked to see one of the few old rooms still to be remodeled (8 to go of which several were undergoing work) and owner was happy to show me. Woohoo! - I totally understand previous comments. I wouldn't spent 5 mins in one of those (and I hope they don't rent those out and definitely not without...
