When this place first opened, it was constantly lined up, all hours of the day. Now there's rarely anyone ever in it, at least when I've walked or driven by it, and I live just down the street from it. Originally I had hoped this would be a great, nearby fix for my donut habit, but it's the exact opposite.
First, let's talk about the donuts themselves. I find that they rarely have what my wife and I want most. That is, they seem to run out of certain flavors and not replenish unless its one of the basic flavors. We once went at 3pm on a Saturday to get a Boston creme donut, they were sold out, came back around 6pm, and they were still sold out. And even when we do get a donut we want, the quality is low given the price. Happy Donuts on Seven Trees Blvd, down Capitol Expressway, has the same problem with selling out of flavors, but they have two or three people that work the entire store, and they are cheaper, and they are open 24 hours, and their donuts are outstanding. Dunkin Donuts should be destroying a place like Happy Donuts, but it's the other way around.
Next, let's talk service. It's atrocious. We walked in one day when there were 3 cars in the drive thru line and 2 girls inside the shop. We counted at least 6 employees and yet no one was helping us. Someone said they would take the girls' orders but no one actually came over to do that. We literally waited 5 minutes before we just walked out. That might not sound like a reasonable cutoff time, but remember that there were 6 employees or more and not a single one was actually talking orders at the register, despite many of them noticing us and telling us that someone would take our order; just not them, apparently. Even when there have been people taking orders previously, it's still an extremely slow process for them.
Overall, go to Happy Donuts on Seven Trees Blvd or Krispy Kreme at The Plant. You'll get faster and/or better service, better donuts, and perhaps even cheaper donuts. It's just not worth the effort for something that's rather subpar. Oh, and if you're from the East Coast, this Dunkin Donuts DOES NOT taste like the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI usually like to give good reviews because as a business owner, I know how important good reviews are for a business. This location has very bad customer service comparing to many dunkin donuts that I've been thru. The first time we went to this place, there was a very long line at the drive-thru because their staff were very slow and making a lot of mistakes. They were giving us different items from our orders even when they were trying to correct our orders. We only found out that we were receiving the wrong items because the customer ahead of us were complaining about wrong items received, too. The second time we've been to this location is today at around 6pm. It was still early but they already run out of most of the items that we were trying to order. And the staff are still slow and still making mistakes. I tried to add a drink on our order but the shift leader who was on the drive thru seems not happy that we're adding an item to our order. When she finally took our order and tried to give us the drink, I told her that we ordered an iced drink instead of hot as what she was giving us. So, she appeared to become more unhappy. Then she just put ice then transferred our drink to a new and smaller container. We paid for a large drink. I wasn't satisfied but I noticed that the line had become longer and the other customers appears unhppy, too. So, I just told her that she gave us the wrong item but we don't want it change anymore because other customers are still waiting impatiently. It appears that it takes them 5 to more than 30 mins per car to complete the orders. My family and I loves Dunkin Donuts even when we lived in a different state. Hopefully, this location improves because a few friends and family had different or the same bad experiences on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI didnāt know Dunkin didnāt want to make more money off their customers LOL! I came through this drive thru to order some food and coffee on the way out of town. First off they didnāt have white chocolate and this is bad for business especially when thatās a very popular flavor. Second l forgot to order food for my son. He wanted the ham and cheese roll ups for breakfast. I got to the window and asked if l could add just one order, which is only two small ham and cheese rolls ups.. thatās it! They told me no because thereās a long line. There were three cars behind me and from what i can see in the front inside there were 5 people and thatās minus whoever is in the back. Cool l understand the reason but the fact that John or Jon didnāt even offer to say āhey weāre busy we can make them for you if you donāt mind pulling around and waitingā. I would of been happy too but the fact that he just completely refused a customer without providing an solution. I hope this gentleman is not in management or supervisor because l can only imagine how many people heās refused to add to their order if he did it for me when it was just a ham and cheese rolled up in a tortilla. This is not great customer service at all. I should of went...
